14. Why UKM does MOOC?
0 Sept 2014 – Shared MOOCs – UPM, UKM, UPSI & UNIMAS.
0 Nov 2015 – Prof Amin Embi wants 3 MOOC courses per
faculty.
0 Jan 2016 – Prof Riza Atiq wants 10 MOOC courses per
faculty.
0 The launching date was planned for 29 Sept 2016. Official
MOOC platform for UKM is openlearning.com and iTunesU.
0 Contribution from PPUKM was only 3 MOOC courses. Other
faculties contributed at least 10 each.
0 The pushing factor was MOHE.
17. 0 Because of this circular, students attending the
UKM Research Week Workshop last August had to
pay the fees out of their own pocket.
0 So next year we are doing it via MOOC.
