A South Islander could be $1 million richer after
a Lotto ticket sold in Nelson took out this week's
big prize.
The winning ticket was sold at Tapawera Four
Square supermarket in Nelson.
The win is the latest in a stellar run for Lotto
players, with almost $25 million given away to
first division winners in the last fortnight,
including $7 million to a young woman in
Christchurch last weekend.
The woman, who wanted to stay anonymous,
bought her ticket from Fresh Choice Barrington
because she was feeling "a little lucky".
Her uncle had also been made an instant
millionaire by Lotto a few months earlier, she
said.
