Towards adoption of data-driven AI:
departure point
• Many companies/organizations own data, BUT do not know
how to exploit it …
• Startups/SMEs are starving for the data assets necessary to
provide value-added services …
• Close the gap!!! in technological, legal and business terms,
among companies providing data, companies consuming data,
and companies providing data solutions, applications and
tools
3. 3
Towards adoption of data-driven
AI: what do we need?
• Promote Data Economy Enabling Workflows through open
general-purpose federated data marketplaces where
companies could:
1. offer their raw data
2. promote their data services in order to enrich others’ raw data and
3. consume data from other companies
4. 4
Towards Federated Data
Marketplaces: Features to meet
• Integration of different data sources & marketplaces, data
sinks and data services in a decoupled and modular way
• Assurance of data sovereignty, offering clearing and
settlement services
• Proper regulation of GDPR-compliant data sharing in clearly
defined contracts
• Provide different models of business interactions in order to
engage all the stakeholders in the creation of new business
possibilities.
