3. PROCESSION

thurible precedes the Paschal
Candle.
After singing in the middle of
the Church, all light their
candles.
The paschal candle must be
put in its holder in the Altar.
4. EASTER PROCLAMATION
(EXSULTET)
The lector of the “Easter
Proclamation” must
INCENSE THE PASCHAL
CANDLE AND THE BOOK.
After the reading of the
“Easter Proclamation” all set
aside the candles.
5. LITURGY OF THE WORD
Readings of the Old Testament with their
psalms and prayer after every reading and
psalm.
After the last reading of the Old Testament
and before the Epistle THE CHOIR INTONES
THE GLORY WHILE BELLS ARE RUNG, THE
ALTAR CANDLES ARE LIT AND TURN ON ALL
THE LIGHTS OF THE CHURCH.
6. LITURGY OF THE WORD 2
After the Epistle, there is a prayer. After the
prayer, the choir intones the ALLELUIA.
PROCLAMATION OF THE HOLY GOSPEL –
USING INCENSE. At the Gospel, LIGHTS ARE
NOT CARRIED (the Paschal Candle illuminates
the Gospel).

7. LITURGY OF THE BAPTISM
The catechist accompany the rite of the Baptism
and Confirmation. The Altar Servers assist the
priest during these rites.
After the rite of Baptism and Confirmation ALL
STAND, HOLDING LIGTHED CANDLES, RENEW
THE PROMISES OF BAPTISMAL FAITH.
