2. Benefits
Quick circulation. Information may be disseminated rapidly (especially
when compared to information published in textbooks or journals).
Technological issues. Not everyone has Internet or someone has slow
Internet connection.
Less expense for students. Can substantially reduce the cost of
course materials for students.
Create my own resources and share them on
the Internet for all who need it for free.

3. Challenges
Adequate training of teachers in the design,
implementation and evaluation of OER.
The creation of the "institutional computer
culture" necessary to develop open
educational resources.
Development of the necessary technological
infrastructure that enables the use of open
educational resources.
There are too many resources to choose
from.
