Manufacturing has changed dramatically over the past few decades and is now changing even faster. Embedded vision is a key enabler for improved efficiency, quality, flexibility, and safety in manufacturing. In this presentation, Andy explores how vision is being used today—and how it will be used in the near future—to enable advanced manufacturing capabilities such as high-speed automated inspection and sorting, vision-guided robots that adapt to changing situations and collaborate safely with humans, and augmented reality to guide and assist human workers.
