Q1. What are your technical expertise w.r.t MCAL driver development?
Ans. Embitel has extensive experience in MCAL driver development
projects.
We have developed microcontroller drivers including MCU and GPT drivers,
I/O drivers such as PWM, ADC, EEPROM, Flash and ICU for global
automotive leaders.
Our expertise also extend to communication drivers like LIN, CAN, MOST
and FlexRay.
Additionally, our AUTOSAR software development team has partnered with
customers for the microcontroller driver static file development and MCAL
driver configuration.
Q2. Do you also provide configuration services as part of BSW Layer
development? If yes, what are they?
Ans. Yes, Embitel provides a host of configuration services for BSW layer
development.
They are as follows:
• Configuration of Memory Stack (MemStack)
• Configuration of Communication Stack (COMStack like CAN, LIN, FlexRay)
• DCM (Diagnostic Communication Manager) Configuration.
• Configuration of the Operating System

Q3. Do you provide configuration support for some specific diagnostic
messages?
Ans. Yes, we do. If your project requires configuration of certain specific
diagnostic messages we can provide all the required support.
We will discuss the configuration sequence details during the AUTOSAR
Technology Workshops, as part of our Service Level Agreement.
Q4. We wish to configure Tx and Rx messages of the Interface layer of
communication module. Can your team provide support for the same?
Ans. Yes, we can provide support for any kind of configuration in the
interface layer as per your project/application requirement.
Q5. How do you configure the communication between application
software module and base software module?
Ans. Our AUTOSAR developers will configure Runtime Environment (RTE)
that will serve as an interface between the base software module and
application software.
Q6. Has your automotive software development team worked on latest
version of AUTOSAR?
Ans. We have delivered AUTOSAR projects on the latest versions ranging
from 4.0 and 4.3. However, our development team also has hands-on
experience on the earlier AUTOSAR versions.

Q7. Can you help us migrate to AUTOSAR 4.0 compliant software?
Ans. Yes. We can provide the support for AUTOSAR migration. We have
partnered with global OEMs and suppliers for AUTOSAR 4.0 migration
projects
We can also share some customer success stories related to AUTOSAR
migration ,after signing the NDA agreement.
Q8. Please share details regarding your experience in providing support
and maintenance services for AUTOSAR Tools?
Ans. We have expertise in AUTOSAR tools like Comasso, ECU Spectrum,
KSAR AUTOSAR and Vector.
We also have experience with design tools like DaVinci Developer and
Peal/Python based scripting tools.
Q9. Can you share some details regarding your AUTOSAR testing services?
Ans. The following testing services are offered based on the AUTOSAR
Testing Suite:
Module Testing- Each AUTOSAR module is tested separately for various test-
case scenarios. This is also called White Box testing.
Integration testing- This test is performed post the integration of
individually developed AUTOSAR modules. This test is also based on the
relevant test-case scenarios. This is also called a White Box Testing.
System level testing (end-user application layer testing). – This is a form of
Black Box testing or an end-of-line testing, where we test the entire
product/embedded system.

Q10. Do you provide Complex Device Driver (CDD) development
services as well?
Ans. Yes, we can provide CDD development support if the project
requires. This layer will be dependent on the ECU hardware.
We have successfully delivered a project for complex device driver
development with I2C and SPI channel configuration as well.
Q11. Is Application Development service also offered at Embitel?
Ans. Yes. If your project has the requirement, we can offer application
development services.
With extensive expertise in Embedded C manual coding, we have also
delivered projects using code generation tools such as Matlab, Vector,
Comasso and others.
