Birmingham and Solihull Crossroads require new Trustees
1. 22 August 2012
Dear Crossroads Service User
Crossroads Care Birmingham & Solihull is as I am sure you already know, a local
charity that supports informal/family carers looking after someone of any age
with an illness, disability or life limiting condition living in the community.
The charity is governed by a Board of Trustees. The Trustees are all volunteers
from different walks of life, who share a common commitment to the work that
Crossroads does in supporting carers. At present, we have eight trustees.
We are seeking to expand the range of skills on the trustee body and ensure that
Trustees reflect the cultural diversity within our city.
We are looking for Trustees with the following skills:
1. Marketing
2. Trading
3. Carer
4. Financial/Business
5. Investments
6. Fundraising
7. Legal
We plan to hold a Trustee information morning/evening to enable anyone
interested in knowing more to come along, find out more information and have
an opportunity to speak with current trustees.
2. However, you may feel that you cannot commit to being a Trustee, but would still
like to help Crossroads. We are also hoping to set up a “Friends of Crossroads”
group who would be willing to promote the work of Crossroads and raise funds on
our behalf.
If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a Trustee, or would like
to join a group to raise funds and promote Crossroads in your local community,
please give me a call on 0121 622 0573. If I am not in the office you can also speak
with my colleague Emma Ashton.
Kind regards,
Michele Coleman
Chief Executive Officer
