I graduated from Mosely High School in Panama City, FL. in 1976, just after I turned sixteen. I
enrolled in Gulf Coast Community College, pursuing Elementary Education. Not because I wanted
to teach school, but because my parent's wanted it. I wanted to go to the beach, and when it got too
hard to schedule in my beach time, school had to go. I was waiting tables, making $400 per day, my
young mind didn't have the capacity to think long term.
In 1982, I hitchhiked from Florida to Vermont, with my two year old son. I had never been out of
the south, and wanted to go somewhere new. While in Vermont, I met the man I would spend the
next twenty years of my life with. He was in the Navy, and my "career" history shows that, it is
more of a job history. We transferred ten times while we were together, my focus was my children
as he was home only about three months a year. I had some skills, and quickly picked up other
skills when needed. I am tired of scrambling to figure out what to do next, which is why I returned to
college, after thirty–seven years out.
Following is a list of most of my jobs,
пѓ Seamstress in Long Beach, CA. (1986–1987)

He was a master craftsman, and I truly enjoyed learning the trade from him. Constructing both
small and large pieces of intricate furnishings and accessories lead to the name of our company,
'Wood'n Wonders'. We both built the inventory, but as my father was a craftsman~ not a
salesman, I took care of 90% of the sales. I attended art shows, placed batches of inventory in
several stores around central Florida, and took care of the financial aspects of the business. Scale
of business would have been an issue had we cared about going bigger, because pieces were time
consuming to

" My father didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it." – Clarence B. Kelland.
From as long as I can remember I was his shadow. Everywhere he went I followed, lead by his
gentle hand guiding me along. Until he walked up into the sky and left me alone outside the gates.
2012 the world was supposed to end and fortunately that didn't happen; but mine came to a life
changing stop. My dad passed away on August 31, 2012.
During a vacation my dad got sick and with what I never found out. I'm still left wondering what
disease took him away. Left with bottled up angry and frustration not knowing the full truth. But all I
remember from that traumatic day is waking up early to watch cartoons and the clearly burned
imagine of my father at the bottom of the stairs after he fell.

I lived in a shell castes by my own fears. I felt like an outsiders that didn't belong. Something inside
of me didn't want people to know much I was hurting. Not even my family, and at one point me and
my mothers relationship was stained. I didn't talk to her about anything and my strong personality
got me into many agreements, making me isolate myself even more.
The stress from high school applications, tests, and graduation made me realize the keeping things
bottled up wasn't good for me was the best thing I could discover. Even though I knew this was
true I didn't think it would work. I didn't want to take my own advice. But 8th grade really opened
my eyes and heart to the people who cared about me.
This was the last year I was going to spend with my best friend and this brought us closer. We were
each others dairies, telling everything leaving no secrets. We were always there for one another. I
was relieved to have someone that knows everything good and bad about me and still cared about
me. I was finally understanding my feelings and getting some

Racial Autobiography: Reflective Essay I was always really proud to be from Compton, CA. The
rich racial and cultural history of the Hub City has had a major impact on many aspects of my life
and is part of my identity. My mother is a Mexican–American, she was born in Tijuana and her
family moved to Compton in 1962 when she was five. My dad was born in Colorado and his family
settled in Compton in 1961 when he was four. My parents were in the same kindergarten class at

I always identified myself as Mexican because technically I was mostly Mexican, but I didn't
speak Spanish and was never really accepted by my Spanish speaking peers. I also remember not
wanting to be identified as White, I was an American but I didn't want to be called White. I
idolized Martin Luther King Jr. as a young child, and I remember feeling deeply moved and
fundamentally changed after seeing the first images of the civil rights movement during Black
history month. Then I remember starting to wonder why I always saw the same videos and learned
the same lessons each year during February and I began to question things. I remember getting so
angry at my own ignorance of the history of racism in this country during my first multi–cultural
history class at Cal State Long Beach. I realized how much I wasn't learning in school and that I
never got an authentic version of history from any group other than the dominant White culture. It
was an eye opening experience and it had a profound impact on me. I learned to embrace being an
American as long as I was willing to commit to continuously questioning and challenging the current
power structures in place and work to expose the institutionalized racism that continues to plague our

Autobiography in Psychology
Many times in people 's lives, they are asked to define their personality and they do not know how to
respond. What is the actual definition of personality and how can we define our own? Personality is
a unique consistent pattern of thinking, feeling, and acting. In other words, personality is a
combination of characteristics or qualities that form the person in you. Like a painting, there are
many different color schemes that combine in order to show the big picture. There is no such thing
as a person without a personality. Some people may not have very extroverted characteristics; this
means that they have a shy or colorless personality.
Now its time for me to define my personality. Who am I? What events in my life influenced the

As long as I was friends with them, I felt secure and sure that their guidance would lead me through
my journey on the road to success.
As I grew older, I noticed a change in the way I identified myself. At the age of 12, I hit puberty
and my hormones were raging. I now understood that the stalk didn 't really drop me off at my
doorstep. I was now introduced to the next bond in my life, the female. Females have had a major
impact on the way a man governs his life. At this time in my life I knew to be more adamant about
my hygiene and the way I present myself in public. This way, I might attract the same girls that
attracted my attention. I was fairly good at conversing with the opposite sex and this was some sort
of fulfillment in my life that greatly influenced the way I think and act, not only to impress others
but also to feel good about myself.
After I hit puberty, I realized a new Joey. A more a mature Joey, who started caring for the
feelings of others rather than just myself. It was a good time for this to happen since my Bar
Mitzvah was right around the corner. It was soon time for me to be recognized as a man. It was
also a time where I found myself connected to God. This spiritual feeling gave me a stronger
guidance which I did not yet realize until I was a little older. Religion is a big factor that helped me
and will continue to help me get to the right places the in right way. My parents had taught me about

Example Of Autobiography About Myself
Memoir
Everyone has their own stories, no matter it is meaningful or not it is their life and their
memories. When I told to write a memoir about languages, I could not come up about any ideas.
So, I ask Professor for help, my Professor told us that everyone has their own stories and it is
interesting, because that is your experiences not ours. People like to hear stories, because it is not
their experiences and they want to know what have you been through. Here are little stories about
myself.
I was born and grow up in China, Tianjin, a big city where just an hour away from Beijing. Since
my mom wants to give me a better living environment, and better chance of education; so, we
decided to move to US. When I moved to the US in 2012, I was only sixteen years old and barely
spoke any English. Even I had learned English for all my school life in China, I still didn't
understand when other talking to me. The new life was totally different, it was tough and
challenging for me. The new language environment and culture differences were giving me a hard
time to fit into this country. When I first came to Chicago; Mother and I went through a great
amount of troubles trying to enroll me in a high school. Many schools turned me down because of
my lack of English skills. They wrote me a letter and send me to an ESL class at a community
college.
As soon as my mother settled me down in a small apartment, she left me to work in another state.
She needs to make money to support me and our family, so I have no choice to live alone by
myself. I was facing the challenge of fending for myself in a totally strange environment, where I
didn't know enough English to ask for help. When I was in China, I never had to cook, shop for
groceries, and walk to school. For the first time in my life, I had to do everything by myself. I had
so little money that I could not afford to eat at restaurants every day. Therefore, I had no choice but
to cook for myself. At first, my mother was the only person I can ask for advice. But when it came
to practice, it felt ten times harder than it sounds to me. I remember practicing cutting on potatoes.
My left fingers were often wrapped with Band–Aids. But I disregarded the pain and kept practicing it

Assignment 1 – Academic Autobiography Growing up on a small farm in Tuttle, Oklahoma, my
family knew more about growing crops and raising cows than focusing on academics. There were
no issues with learning the farm life, but academically my family was not the brightest group of
individuals when it came to academics. Early on in life I understood I did not want to grow up a
farmer like the rest of my family. I enjoy being on the farm, but my choice to move outside of the
box was different than any of my other family members. I am your basic outcast of the family who
chose a different route in life.
As a young child, my mother bounced from marriage to marriage until I was nine years old. My
father chose not to be part of my life, so, growing up was tough without a father figure in my life
was tough. I attended several different schools, and as a young child attending Oklahoma City
schools wearing cowboy boots and hat I didn't not always fit in. In1987, my mother chose to move
closer to our immediate family in Tuttle, Oklahoma. I started attending Amber–Pocasset school
district, small school district south of Tuttle Oklahoma, and finished my general education (4th –
12th). There is a large difference when comparing Oklahoma City school district to Amber–Pocasset
schools which is two towns combined into one. The elementary school was in the town of Pocasset
(K – 6th) and the high school (7th – 12th) was in Amber. Moving to a smaller school district equals

I was always running around with these activities, so it kept me pretty busy as a child. Learning
all these new skills and continuing to grow as a person led me to Erikson's Psychological theory

lived in the world around me. I was also modeling my mother a lot around this stage. She played
volleyball for an adult league which I would watch every weekend which got me interested in
volleyball. She also was the one to register me for dance classes. Little did she know that that
would shape me as the person I am today. She later became my first ever volleyball coach in third

Ceramics is one of my true passions. It began when I was very young and continued through a

of the methods I created was a marbling technique which impressed my fellow students and was
used by upper classmen for the rest of the summer. In my present ceramics class at Fay, I have

onto the Varsity Art team next year.
This year at Fay I have been lucky enough to be included in a teaching program for the lower

During the first few years of my life, I had caught glimpses of people,a luminous sky, trees,

gradually changed. I grew and learned more about my life, seeing the world in a whole new
perspective. My mother taught me everything that I know of. My hands felt every object,
communicated with other people and observed every motion, and in this way I learned to know
many things. A shake of the head meant "No" and a nod "Yes", a pull meant "Come" and a push
"Go". I also learned new words such as bread, ice cream and book. My mother, moreover,
succeeded in making me understand a great deal. I always knew when she wished me to bring her
something, and I would run upstairs or anywhere else she indicated. Many accidents of those
early years are fixed in my memory, isolated, but clear and distinct, making the sense of that silent,
aimless daily life more intense. One day, I was staying at my grandmother's house. We were eating

It all started when I came back from football practice and was watching T.V. I was 10 at the time,

Subsequently, I dashed to show my parents what I created. I expected them to be proud and

has been influenced by family and those who support me and encourage me during school. The
career path, I have chosen is to work with women survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I
will discuss how self–assessments helped me gain an understanding, which careers might be worth
pursuing because of my interests.
I have always been encouraged by my family to volunteer to gain an understanding that experience
is valuable, even if the work is unpaid. While volunteering, it allowed me to see if I could handle
dealing with trauma victims in hospital settings. I chose the major of psychology because I always
wanted to become a therapist and help those in difficult life situations. I knew that my family
wanted me to feel rewarded and satisfied with the career I choose and to not focus mainly on
salary. My family always thought it was important to get a college education and a good career.
They did not attend school themselves and know the struggles of finding a job without the
qualifications and education. The cultural influences that impacted my decision was that my family
can understand my career path. My family looks at counselors as important people in society and as
a career worth pursuing. Both of my parents are from Poland and did not attend school in the

Autobiography Essay Samples

  • 1. Personal Autobiography Sample I graduated from Mosely High School in Panama City, FL. in 1976, just after I turned sixteen. I enrolled in Gulf Coast Community College, pursuing Elementary Education. Not because I wanted to teach school, but because my parent's wanted it. I wanted to go to the beach, and when it got too hard to schedule in my beach time, school had to go. I was waiting tables, making $400 per day, my young mind didn't have the capacity to think long term. In 1982, I hitchhiked from Florida to Vermont, with my two year old son. I had never been out of the south, and wanted to go somewhere new. While in Vermont, I met the man I would spend the next twenty years of my life with. He was in the Navy, and my "career" history shows that, it is more of a job history. We transferred ten times while we were together, my focus was my children as he was home only about three months a year. I had some skills, and quickly picked up other skills when needed. I am tired of scrambling to figure out what to do next, which is why I returned to college, after thirty–seven years out. Following is a list of most of my jobs, пѓ Seamstress in Long Beach, CA. (1986–1987) пѓ Wooden Wonders in Leesburg, FL. (1992–1995) пѓ Warehouse Manager in Honolulu,...show more content... He was a master craftsman, and I truly enjoyed learning the trade from him. Constructing both small and large pieces of intricate furnishings and accessories lead to the name of our company, 'Wood'n Wonders'. We both built the inventory, but as my father was a craftsman~ not a salesman, I took care of 90% of the sales. I attended art shows, placed batches of inventory in several stores around central Florida, and took care of the financial aspects of the business. Scale of business would have been an issue had we cared about going bigger, because pieces were time consuming to Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Example Of Autobiography In College I was born in Dayton Ohio we lived there for a year I think then we moved to a different part of Ohio Greenville and from there we moved to Kentucky and then Pennsylvania and from there Washington then California then back to Washington. See as a kid growing up my dad was in the cable business we moved so much I never stayed at one school long enough to really make any friends, and it was me my older brother, and little brother, my little brother really got lucky because when it was time for him to start school we were settled. We lived in concrete Washington I started my fifth grade there and it was acutely really nice to have friends and be a kid. Then high school came my best friend and a lot of my friends were two grades ahead of me so...show more content... We loved living in Portland so much to do with the kids the Saturday market was my favorite. Then I picked up a flagging job I was so board out of my mind standing there holding a sigh and wondering if that car is going to stop or keep going and hit you needless to say that job was not for me . I got married at twenty three and was a house wife until both of my kids started school then I worked at a little store for about seven years then we moved to and I worked at a big department store it was fun for a while then drama happens managers are not happy so they take it out on the employees then then we feel un appreciated just a big cycle I began to hate that place I started putting applications out at other places. But I did get this one job that I really wanted until they asked for my high school diploma I was so excited to and I let myself down I knew I made bad choices but I can't dwell on the past I can only fix what's in my future and that's why I am here I want to better myself show my kids that if you work hard enough you can do Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Student Autobiography Examples Student Autobiography " My father didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it." – Clarence B. Kelland. From as long as I can remember I was his shadow. Everywhere he went I followed, lead by his gentle hand guiding me along. Until he walked up into the sky and left me alone outside the gates. 2012 the world was supposed to end and fortunately that didn't happen; but mine came to a life changing stop. My dad passed away on August 31, 2012. During a vacation my dad got sick and with what I never found out. I'm still left wondering what disease took him away. Left with bottled up angry and frustration not knowing the full truth. But all I remember from that traumatic day is waking up early to watch cartoons and the clearly burned imagine of my father at the bottom of the stairs after he fell. I was only...show more content... I lived in a shell castes by my own fears. I felt like an outsiders that didn't belong. Something inside of me didn't want people to know much I was hurting. Not even my family, and at one point me and my mothers relationship was stained. I didn't talk to her about anything and my strong personality got me into many agreements, making me isolate myself even more. The stress from high school applications, tests, and graduation made me realize the keeping things bottled up wasn't good for me was the best thing I could discover. Even though I knew this was true I didn't think it would work. I didn't want to take my own advice. But 8th grade really opened my eyes and heart to the people who cared about me. This was the last year I was going to spend with my best friend and this brought us closer. We were each others dairies, telling everything leaving no secrets. We were always there for one another. I was relieved to have someone that knows everything good and bad about me and still cared about me. I was finally understanding my feelings and getting some Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Examples Of Racial Autobiography Naomi Lara GED 503 – Summer 2015 Racial Autobiography: Reflective Essay I was always really proud to be from Compton, CA. The rich racial and cultural history of the Hub City has had a major impact on many aspects of my life and is part of my identity. My mother is a Mexican–American, she was born in Tijuana and her family moved to Compton in 1962 when she was five. My dad was born in Colorado and his family settled in Compton in 1961 when he was four. My parents were in the same kindergarten class at Jefferson Elementary school and although they didn't start dating until they were in their 20's, they definitely helped each other survive the racial injustices and violence that permeated all facets of their educational experience in Compton...show more content... I always identified myself as Mexican because technically I was mostly Mexican, but I didn't speak Spanish and was never really accepted by my Spanish speaking peers. I also remember not wanting to be identified as White, I was an American but I didn't want to be called White. I idolized Martin Luther King Jr. as a young child, and I remember feeling deeply moved and fundamentally changed after seeing the first images of the civil rights movement during Black history month. Then I remember starting to wonder why I always saw the same videos and learned the same lessons each year during February and I began to question things. I remember getting so angry at my own ignorance of the history of racism in this country during my first multi–cultural history class at Cal State Long Beach. I realized how much I wasn't learning in school and that I never got an authentic version of history from any group other than the dominant White culture. It was an eye opening experience and it had a profound impact on me. I learned to embrace being an American as long as I was willing to commit to continuously questioning and challenging the current power structures in place and work to expose the institutionalized racism that continues to plague our public Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. Autobiography in Psychology Many times in people 's lives, they are asked to define their personality and they do not know how to respond. What is the actual definition of personality and how can we define our own? Personality is a unique consistent pattern of thinking, feeling, and acting. In other words, personality is a combination of characteristics or qualities that form the person in you. Like a painting, there are many different color schemes that combine in order to show the big picture. There is no such thing as a person without a personality. Some people may not have very extroverted characteristics; this means that they have a shy or colorless personality. Now its time for me to define my personality. Who am I? What events in my life influenced the ...show more content... As long as I was friends with them, I felt secure and sure that their guidance would lead me through my journey on the road to success. As I grew older, I noticed a change in the way I identified myself. At the age of 12, I hit puberty and my hormones were raging. I now understood that the stalk didn 't really drop me off at my doorstep. I was now introduced to the next bond in my life, the female. Females have had a major impact on the way a man governs his life. At this time in my life I knew to be more adamant about my hygiene and the way I present myself in public. This way, I might attract the same girls that attracted my attention. I was fairly good at conversing with the opposite sex and this was some sort of fulfillment in my life that greatly influenced the way I think and act, not only to impress others but also to feel good about myself. After I hit puberty, I realized a new Joey. A more a mature Joey, who started caring for the feelings of others rather than just myself. It was a good time for this to happen since my Bar Mitzvah was right around the corner. It was soon time for me to be recognized as a man. It was also a time where I found myself connected to God. This spiritual feeling gave me a stronger guidance which I did not yet realize until I was a little older. Religion is a big factor that helped me and will continue to help me get to the right places the in right way. My parents had taught me about religion to instill Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. Sample Of Autobiography I am a Latino first generation student from a small and low–income family. I was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco MГ©xico. I was brought to the Unites States when I was 8 years old. Learning English was hard but with dedication and time, learning it was possible. Since elementary school, I was an outstanding student. I was still learning English and had to take special classes such as ESL. In middle school, I began to receive student of the month certificates and the ESL department gave me the opportunity to take some non–ESL classes. Then in high school, I was no longer a part of the ESL program. I was considered a regular English student. My plan is to transfer from AVC with an associates in psychology to UCLA and obtain my masters in Forensic Psychology. I know what I need to do academically to get accepted to UCLA and I am capable with the right support. The only obstacle in my way is my financial situation. This scholarship would be of great assistance in supporting my goal to transfer, pay for my books, school supplies, printing cards, and gas cards to be able to get to school every day. This scholarship would also help me reduce my stress levels and would allow me to stay focus on getting straight A's. Being a low income or an undocumented student has tough me a lot of lessons and I'm not embarrassed, on the contrary, I am privileged to have the opportunity to apply for this fascinating scholarship program. When I told to write a memoir about languages, I could not come up about any ideas. So, I ask Professor for help, my Professor told us that everyone has their own stories and it is interesting, because that is your experiences not ours. People like to hear stories, because it is not their experiences and they want to know what have you been through. Here are little stories about myself. I was born and grow up in China, Tianjin, a big city where just an hour away from Beijing. Since my mom wants to give me a better living environment, and better chance of education; so, we decided to move to US. Even I had learned English for all my school life in China, I still didn't understand when other talking to me. The new life was totally different, it was tough and challenging for me. The new language environment and culture differences were giving me a hard time to fit into this country. When I first came to Chicago; Mother and I went through a great amount of troubles trying to enroll me in a high school. Many schools turned me down because of my lack of English skills. They wrote me a letter and send me to an ESL class at a community college. As soon as my mother settled me down in a small apartment, she left me to work in another state. She needs to make money to support me and our family, so I have no choice to live alone by myself. I was facing the challenge of fending for myself in a totally strange environment, where I didn't know enough English to ask for help. When I was in China, I never had to cook, shop for groceries, and walk to school. For the first time in my life, I had to do everything by myself. I had so little money that I could not afford to eat at restaurants every day. Therefore, I had no choice but to cook for myself. At first, my mother was the only person I can ask for advice. But when it came to practice, it felt ten times harder than it sounds to me. I remember practicing cutting on potatoes. My left fingers were often wrapped with Band–Aids. But I disregarded the pain and kept practicing it Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 9. Example Of Academic Autobiography Assignment 1 – Academic Autobiography Growing up on a small farm in Tuttle, Oklahoma, my family knew more about growing crops and raising cows than focusing on academics. There were no issues with learning the farm life, but academically my family was not the brightest group of individuals when it came to academics. Early on in life I understood I did not want to grow up a farmer like the rest of my family. I enjoy being on the farm, but my choice to move outside of the box was different than any of my other family members. I am your basic outcast of the family who chose a different route in life. As a young child, my mother bounced from marriage to marriage until I was nine years old. My father chose not to be part of my life, so, growing up was tough without a father figure in my life was tough. I attended several different schools, and as a young child attending Oklahoma City schools wearing cowboy boots and hat I didn't not always fit in. In1987, my mother chose to move closer to our immediate family in Tuttle, Oklahoma. I started attending Amber–Pocasset school district, small school district south of Tuttle Oklahoma, and finished my general education (4th – 12th). There is a large difference when comparing Oklahoma City school district to Amber–Pocasset schools which is two towns combined into one. The elementary school was in the town of Pocasset (K – 6th) and the high school (7th – 12th) was in Amber. Moving to a smaller school district equals small class Get more content on HelpWriting.net

First, through the oral and electronic means of communication. During the summers I coach a youth baseball team and I communicate with the players and their parents in many different ways. At practices where I talk and work them how to do specific drills. At games I cheer them on and give them tips to succeed. But, since most of the kids are only eleven or twelve years old I have to communicate to the parents. I usually do this through email where I tell them about upcoming games and practices. • 11. Example Of An Autobiography Essay On Kindergarden By the time kindergarden started, I was reading and writing all by myself. My mother said that I was so developmentally advanced that I treated kindergarden like social time. I had many friends and continued to include everyone. At this time I was especially close with my neighbor Layne and my other friend Meagan. I was with my neighbor almost every second of every day. We even went to the same in–home day care. My teachers took note of this and always paired us up with shy people so we could break them out of their shell. One of those shy people was my other friend Meagan. Learning all these new skills and continuing to grow as a person led me to Erikson's Psychological theory which is initiative vs. guilt. She played volleyball for an adult league which I would watch every weekend which got me interested in volleyball. She also was the one to register me for dance classes. Little did she know that that would shape me as the person I am today. She later became my first ever volleyball coach in third grade. I also was modeling my brother a lot during this time. I was the only girl on the block so I would follow my brother around. Luckily, my neighbor that I mentioned earlier had a brother his age. Us four were inseperabale. • 12. Personal Autobiography Sample In 2002, I was born in China. I was abandoned by my birth parents in the Hunan Province, in Yiyang City; they left me in front of a community center. I lived in an orphanage there for first fifteen months of my life. In 2003, I was adopted by my mother, who was single at the time. My mother lived in New York City in a townhouse on East 73rd Street. During my initial two and a half years in New York, I often begged mymother for a father. My dream for a father came true. At age four, my mother got married, and we moved into my new father's apartment, across from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. We have since moved to Katonah, NY, forty–five miles north of the city, for various reasons; one being that I had a love for space and outdoor activities, such as horseback riding and swimming. During those years in school in Katonah, my sport activities included basketball and soccer. I particularly revel in basketball,...show more content... Ceramics is one of my true passions. It began when I was very young and continued through a 5–week summer program at Choate in 2016, and now at Fay as my favored art class. At Choate, I advanced significantly in ceramics, learning and developing new clay and glazing techniques; one of the methods I created was a marbling technique which impressed my fellow students and was used by upper classmen for the rest of the summer. In my present ceramics class at Fay, I have worked on hand building pieces, whistles, and using slabs to create boxes, vases. I am hoping to get onto the Varsity Art team next year. This year at Fay I have been lucky enough to be included in a teaching program for the lower schoolers. Math and art are two of my strongest subjects, so, my work with the lower schoolers has been in these areas. • 13. AutoBiography Sample Essay There is a little part of me That wants the best for you Can't help but wish the best was me... I am an open book despite my puzzled look... Coax me to confess, to all I never meant... You're free of my burden But if you need me, I'll be here Always You say jump.... ...I say how high? You say leave.... I say goodbye. The Beginning It is with a kind of fear that I begin to write the story of my life. I have, as it were, a superstitious hesitation in lifting the veil that clings about my childhood like a golden mist. The task of writing an autobiography is a difficult one. When I try to classify my earliest impressions, I find that a fact and fancy look alike across the years that link the past with the...show more content... During the first few years of my life, I had caught glimpses of people,a luminous sky, trees, flowers and my neighbourhood. If we have once seen, "the day is ours, and what the day has shown." The Start of my Journey to the Outside World During the years that I grew up, things gradually changed. I grew and learned more about my life, seeing the world in a whole new perspective. My mother taught me everything that I know of. My hands felt every object, communicated with other people and observed every motion, and in this way I learned to know many things. A shake of the head meant "No" and a nod "Yes", a pull meant "Come" and a push "Go". I also learned new words such as bread, ice cream and book. My mother, moreover, succeeded in making me understand a great deal. I always knew when she wished me to bring her something, and I would run upstairs or anywhere else she indicated. Many accidents of those early years are fixed in my memory, isolated, but clear and distinct, making the sense of that silent, aimless daily life more intense. One day, I was staying at my grandmother's house. We were eating lunch at that time, rice and chicken adobo with a glass of Coca Cola, whilst eating, I accidentally spilled my cup. To teach me a lesson, my grandmother didn't give any more servings of the soft drink. At that time, the Coca Cola bottles were still made of glass. After we finished, she stood up and went to wash the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 14. Examples Of Science Autobiography Science Autobiography From a young age, I have always enjoyed the outdoors. I loved dirt, rocks, and stick. I enjoyed my science classes in elementary school. I enjoyed the problem solving aspect of science. When I got to middle school, science courses became more lecture based and less about hands on experimenting. By the time I got to high school, I was uninterested in science. I took physics in 9th grade and hated it. After that, I assumed that I was not good at science. I took the science classes I needed to take to graduate and did not give it much thought. I did not really become interested in science again until this summer. This summer I was an instructor aide in John Ball Zoo's summer camp program. I taught classes to 4–8 year olds. I was 10 at the time, and I stumbled upon a channel where these women modeled these remarkable masterpieces. It peaked my interest in creating similar fashion pieces. I scurried to my room and began drawing. Subsequently, I dashed to show my parents what I created. • 20. Example Of Career Autobiography Career Autobiography Throughout life, people are influenced by others when it comes to career paths. For example, career paths can be directed by our backgrounds such as family and culture. The career path I chose has been influenced by family and those who support me and encourage me during school. The career path, I have chosen is to work with women survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. I will discuss how self–assessments helped me gain an understanding, which careers might be worth pursuing because of my interests. I have always been encouraged by my family to volunteer to gain an understanding that experience is valuable, even if the work is unpaid. While volunteering, it allowed me to see if I could handle dealing with trauma victims in hospital settings. I chose the major of psychology because I always wanted to become a therapist and help those in difficult life situations. I knew that my family wanted me to feel rewarded and satisfied with the career I choose and to not focus mainly on salary. My family always thought it was important to get a college education and a good career. They did not attend school themselves and know the struggles of finding a job without the qualifications and education. The cultural influences that impacted my decision was that my family can understand my career path. My family looks at counselors as important people in society and as a career worth pursuing.
