2.  MARKET ANALYSIS:
 The 50-unit S&P CNX Nifty moved past the psychological 6,000 level as key benchmark indices eked
out small gains. The barometer index, BSE Sensex, was provisionally up 38.66 points or 0.2%, up
59.61 points from the day's low and off 33.40 points from the day's high. The market breadth,
indicating the overall health of the market, was positive. Index heavyweight Reliance Industries (RIL)
extended intraday gains in late trade.
 The BSE Sensex was up 38.66 points or 0.2% to 19,752.90.
 The S&P CNX Nifty was up 12.15 points or 0.2% to 6,005.40.
 Among the 30-share Sensex pack, 17 declined while the rest of them gained.
 IT pivotals rose after US lawmakers early this week reached a last-minute deal to avert the fiscal cliff.
US is the biggest outsourcing market for the Indian IT firmsIT major Tata Consultancy Services rose
1.5%.India's third largest software services exporter by revenues Wipro gained 0.83%.Shares of
banking giant State Bank of India (SBI) gained 0.88% to Rs 2,469.75 after striking a 52-week high of
Rs 2,482.20 in intraday today, 3 January 2013. Dr Reddy's Laboratories advanced 2.35% after the
company said it has launched Finasteride Tablets 1 mg in the US market.
