country’s leading school’s alumni associations compete in a fund raising football
tournament towards supporting their alma mater to improve sporting facilities. AFC -

Associations/Organizations in Nigeria. Therefore, you are among the esteemed schools’

The Aim
To organize/compete in football for Charity for the ultimate benefit of the alma-mater.

Registration
Each participating team will be required to register not more than twenty (20) players at
N1,000.00 (One Thousand Naira) only for each player. That will cover the registration
package. Full Payment is prerequisite for participation.

ALUMNI FOOTBALL COMPETITION – AFC 2014
GUIDELINES FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS
Teams’ Name
Every Old Student Association registered for the Competition shall have a unique name, such name shall be
coined from a combination of the alma mater’s name e.g. HOWAD Athletico, SPACO, HOTRICO,
ComSecom, SASSCO, etc. Where a name is too similar or exactly the same, the later registrant shall take to
another name.
Registration
Each team is entitled to register not more than twenty (20) and not less than fifteen (15) players for the
completion. Each player’s registration is valid only when the registration fee of N500 (five hundred naira)
only is paid, after which such player is issued License. Late registration shall attract an additional lump sum
payment of N2,000. Closing date is two weeks to date of draw, while late registration is a week to draw
date, incomplete team as at closing date, and incomplete payments.
Player’s License
No player shall be allowed to participate in ANY match
except he presents a valid player’s License. A Player’s
License shall have the full name, picture, team’s name and
Date of Graduation (D.O.G) of the bearer. The License is
NOT transferable. The captain and Manager of opponent
team have right to inspect players’ license before start of
game.
On Pitch Rules
The rules of football as approved by FIFA shall be the governing rule on the pitch of play. The services of
Licensed Referee shall be employed at the final stages of the completion. However, each school alumni
team shall provide two (2) persons (Auxiliary Referees) to officiate matches at the preliminary stages.
These persons shall be assigned matches randomly. In no circumstance shall such persons officiate a match
of which he is biased or have vested interest. All teams MUST arrive match venue 30 minutes prior to
kickoff time. Participating teams must always come with their match ball.
Draws/Fixtures
There shall be feature pre event draws/fixtures ceremony that will be held not later than seven (7) days
prior to the commencement of the competition. It is mandatory for the 3 people each from participating
teams (e.g. Manager, Captain, Association President) to attend the event as reps for their School alumni
football team. Each attendee will be required to pay N1,000 to obtain the draws/fixtures ceremony
invitation. The event’s invitation admits only.
Disciplinary Actions
Teams through their manager after payment of N2,000 protest fee, may do a written petition before
referee’s final whistle to mark the close of a match for reasons as follows;
a. Discrepancies in the records and/or players license of the opponent team
b. Referee’s actions/inaction/omission/commission
c. Misconduct by Fan(s) and/or player(s)
d. Falsification of dates of graduation
e. Any other issue contrary to FIFA rules
The 5-Man disciplinary committee shall be drawn from among the auxiliary referees provided by each
alumni team. However, the following forms the minimum disciplinary action recommended for respective
indiscipline. HOWEVER, DECISION OF THE ORGANIZERS IS FINAL on all petitions.
