Memorizing your multiplication tables (or trying to help your child/student learn them) can be really hard, especially since it requires so much practice and since the multiplication tables are used in all levels of math (even in high school math!). But until you feel really comfortable with your multiplication facts, here are some tricks that may help you solve and remember them!

The history of grammar in the mother tongue is in some ways what shaped grammar we see today. Louis Gauchet’s study in 1905 looked at the Swiss village. His research found that between men And women there was a difference that had accrued over what he traced back to be three Generations. This argument for the implementation of grammar to be taught it is told withold the Language inspired both William Labov then here with Peter Trudgill in 70’s. William Labov noticed a cross over pattern between upper middle class and lower middle class When observing speech. Trudgill noticed similar patterns. He said class was gauged by income, Education, occupation, residence and lifestyle. This research was done by Fieldworkers in the Community who interviewed and taped citizens. Within the Language or the lexical by trying to Gauge literacy of people they found vernacular rules which were very complicated part of the phonological.

539MAY 2003 What Children Say about Problem Solving Over the past ten years, I have documented the comments that children made as they solved a wide variety of problems and as they shared their solu- tions with their peers in a multiage classroom of first, second, and third graders (see fig. 1). I also have used one-on-one interviews to record chil- dren’s comments and reactions to various class- room practices during problem-solving activities. What follows are my findings. Young children want to solve problems, and their enjoyment of problem solving increases when children can solve problems in ways that make sense to them. Jose, Amber, and other children have taught me the importance of independence in the process of becoming a problem solver. Seven- Larry Buschman, [email protected], teaches a multiage (grades 1–3) class at Jeffer- son Elementary School in Jefferson, Oregon. He is interested in helping children become problem solvers in mathematics. N CTM’s Principles and Standards for School Mathematics describes problem solving as a “hallmark of mathematical activity and a major means of developing mathematical knowl- edge” (NCTM 2000, p. 116). However, many children in my classroom have experienced difficulty when solving problems and often commented, “I don’t get it!” or “It’s too hard!” Now my students enjoy solving problems. My classroom is filled with comments such as “That was a good problem!” (Micah, age 8) and “I like the way Shanna solved the problem—it’s cool because it’s easier to get the answer” (Stephanie, age 7). Like many other teachers who have changed their students’ attitudes toward prob- lem solving, I began by turning to professional resources for guidance. But I discovered another valu- able resource in my classroom: the children I teach. By asking children questions such as “Why is problem solving difficult?” I learned that they can offer amazing insights into the intricacies of the problem-solving process and how they learn to become problem solvers. This material may not be copied or distributed electronically or in any other format without written permission from NCTM. 540 TEACHING CHILDREN MATHEMATICS year-old Jose said, “I know what I know. I get messed up when I try to do problems the way you [the teacher] want.” Amber, age 8, said, “The ways on the [problem-solving strategies] chart are hard to remember, and most of the time I get mixed up and I can’t decide which one to use, especially when it’s a hard problem.” In the past, I tried to teach problem solving by showing children how to solve particular types of problems in a prescribed manner with computation algorithms or traditional problem-solving strate- gies such as guess and check, work backward, look for a pattern, and so on. Now I encourage children to so.

Webinar Recording: https://www.panagenda.com/webinars/why-teams-call-analytics-is-critical-to-your-entire-business Nothing is as frustrating and noticeable as being in an important call and being unable to see or hear the other person. Not surprising then, that issues with Teams calls are among the most common problems users call their helpdesk for. Having in depth insight into everything relevant going on at the user’s device, local network, ISP and Microsoft itself during the call is crucial for good Microsoft Teams Call quality support. To ensure a quick and adequate solution and to ensure your users get the most out of their Microsoft 365. But did you know that ‘bad calls’ are also an excellent indicator of other problems arising? Precisely because it is so noticeable!? Like the canary in the mine, bad calls can be early indicators of problems. Problems that might otherwise not have been noticed for a while but can have a big impact on productivity and satisfaction. Join this session by Christoph Adler to learn how true Microsoft Teams call quality analytics helped other organizations troubleshoot bad calls and identify and fix problems that impacted Teams calls or the use of Microsoft365 in general. See what it can do to keep your users happy and productive! In this session we will cover - Why CQD data alone is not enough to troubleshoot call problems - The importance of attributing call problems to the right call participant - What call quality analytics can do to help you quickly find, fix-, and prevent problems - Why having retrospective detailed insights matters - Real life examples of how others have used Microsoft Teams call quality monitoring to problem shoot problems with their ISP, network, device health and more.

In the thrilling conclusion to 2023, ransomware groups had a banner year, really outdoing themselves in the "make everyone's life miserable" department. LockBit 3.0 took gold in the hacking olympics, followed by the plucky upstarts Clop and ALPHV/BlackCat. Apparently, 48% of organizations were feeling left out and decided to get in on the cyber attack action. Business services won the "most likely to get digitally mugged" award, with education and retail nipping at their heels. Hackers expanded their repertoire beyond boring old encryption to the much more exciting world of extortion. The US, UK and Canada took top honors in the "countries most likely to pay up" category. Bitcoins were the currency of choice for discerning hackers, because who doesn't love untraceable money?
