solutions for rumors at
workplace
Definition :
The spreading of rumors is often identified
as defamation of character, although the two
are not synonymous. “
 Guess what, it is the trends now
days
 It is the fake news everywhere,
but as you always know, lets focus
on the human resource
management.
 Let’s cover the fake news at
workplace.
 Don’t forget that a lot of people
call it also “Propaganda”
Why we have rumors
1.Simply there is no Gossip/
Rumor policy at workplace: and
since it could be part of some
people culture and those who will
be selected eventually and work
at your organization. Therefore,
nothing to stop them.
“defamation of character “, some
staff/manager will use it to
damage the reputation of other
staff (Enemy).On the same base,
to destroy that staff, the rumor
will be directed to cease conflicts
with his/her colleagues to isolate
the enemy from the rest of staff
in the organization.
it is a bread and butter for some
people and way of living; they
can’t stop it for the good and the
bad.
it could be corporate attention to
spread certain agenda like
financial propaganda ( Merger /
Acquisition) or the elimination of
high figure of the management.
Why you should care
Destruction

you to find a

elsewhere.
Life &

with family
and friends.
If it for somebody

Notify the

Work Social: people will inform you sooner or later; and you know
that you become the lucky enemy. Good luck.
Conflict with Somebody: just follow them and their foot prints, you
will see damage in front of you so obvious like the Sun in Dessert.
How you should react ?

Stand still
If you decides to stay clam:
1. Answer bravely to anybody face you with
the rumor and
2. keep your social networking as top
priorities.
3. Set up a rumor control strategy.
4. Draft your exit plan soon.
