• Coordination with Metrobus,
Loudoun County Transit, PRTC, and
Washington Flyer staff ongoing
since Jan. 2013
• Training began Sept. 2013; over 270
bus operators have been trained for
Silver Line service
o All operators were trained by
Dec. 2013
o Refresher training and new
operator training is ongoing
• New Route 983 (Udvar-Hazy
Center) training began in May 2014
• Plan based on two designs:
o Realignment, enhancement,
and addition of new feeder
serving to Metrorail stations
o Tysons Circulator service
(providing the “last mile”
connection to and from
Metrorail)

• Approximately 241 Fairfax
Connector bus stops installed
• 15 buses added to the fleet; 38 new
bus operators, 5 supervisors; 5
maintenance technicians
• WMATA staff tested the Wiehle
parking revenue system (PARCS)
and reported successful operation
• An operational test of weekday peak
service was conducted Nov. 16,
2013
o Most routes to remain at Wiehle
north; five routes shifted to
Wiehle south
• Additional testing is scheduled for
the end of June to re-familiarize
operators with new Silver Line
stations
