THE CONSEQUENCES OF CONQUEST OF THE POWER IN THE UNITED
STATES BY DONALD TRUMP

Donald Trump has his campaign for the presidency of the United States based on the
defense of law and order in which leave evidenced his authoritarian personality traits.
Trump presented gladiator logic. Everything revolves around the conquest of the US
supremacy. Trump proposes to build a wall between the United States and Mexico to
prevent the entry of Latin American, prohibit the entry of Muslims in the country and
isolate the United States in the world. For decades, the Republican Party represented
abroad, an international order toward the future led by the United States, and, at home,
democratic capitalism with little government intervention in the economy. Trump
decimates this and other things that Republicans defended and represented.
Donald Trump said he was the voice "of those who work hard while no one speaks for
them" victims of a "rigged system" that only benefit the "elites" as if he were not elite.
Trump presented himself as the "people's champion", the only one able to change
everything. Republican presidential candidate sought to draw the most harrowing
picture possible on the United States, fueled by recalling previous crimes related to
illegal immigration, violence against the police, and an economic situation considered
disastrous. Looking beyond the borders of the United States, Trump highlighted "death,
destruction and weakness" of the United States as the only appointing as the sole guilty
his future opponent, former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.
To win the election, Trump calls for the hopelessness that many American voters say
they feel. Trump encourages his voters to feel fear. In his speech at the Republican
convention, Trump presented a chaos scenario and darkness, as if the United States
were in a land devastated situation, to present itself as the solution to this disorder. He
said that "sadly, the American dream is dead" and that only he can restore it. The Trump
theses rely on surveys which indicate that two-thirds of the US population does not trust
the government and believe the country is on the wrong track. Nearly 70% of
Americans say in polls to fear terrorism or crime, or both. It was based on this fact that
Trump campaign coined the idea that he was "a new morning in America", that is, he is
the solution to the US problems.
Donald Trump says that when making his presidential oath next year he will restore law
and order. Eminently political reasons also help explain the Trump phenomenon. For
the first time in the bicentennial history of bipartisanship in the United States, both
Republicans and Democrats face an unprecedented scenario: the frustration of
Americans with the political class that led to the rise of populists. In 2014, a survey of
Rasmussen Institute showed that 65% of Americans say that none of the two main
parties "represents the American people" and who are dissatisfied "with the government
system and its effectiveness". The current situation in the United States is similar to that
experienced by Germany from 1933 during the Weimar Republic which has
deteriorated paving the way for the rise of Nazism.
Trump is the most visible face of a worldwide phenomenon: the rise of nationalist and
xenophobic populism. In Europe, far-right parties have gained support in important
countries such as Austria, Poland and Sweden. In the countries of Western Europe,
which historically live in an alternation of power between two parties, a number of
nationalist movements became the third political force: the case of the Alternative for

Germany, the National Front of France and the Five Star Movement in Italy. Not to
mention the left parties and populist movements that gained strength in European
countries and even in the United States, as shown by the rise of Bernie Sanders in the
Democratic Party.
The growth of inequality in Western societies with the process of globalization is at the
core of this insurgency, as shown by the result of the referendum on the kingdom's
output of the European Union, Brexit. The Brexit is a symptom of a nationalist and
populist reactions in the industrialized West against globalization, free trade, migration
of labor, the market-oriented policies, the supranational authorities and even
technological change because globalization has reduced wage and jobs in richer
economies, such as Britain and the United States. The rise of nationalist and xenophobic
populism is the result of this impoverishment of the middle class in developed
countries. The families of the working classes and the middle classes doesn´t have
benefited from economic growth. They know that the banks caused the 2008 crisis, but
see billions of dollars and Euros from governments for the banks and little to save their
homes and their jobs. With the average real income for a male worker full time in the
United States less than four decades ago, an angry electorate cannot be a surprise.
All Donald Trump messages point in the direction that, if elected US president could
revive fascism in the contemporary era. It should be noted that fascism is a form of
political behavior marked by obsessive preoccupation with community decline, with the
humiliation and victimization of the country that searches through redemptive violence
and without ethical or legal restraints achieve the goals of internal cleansing and
external expansion. Fascism comes to restore a broken social order, as always using
themes such as unity, order and purity. Fascism is rooted in the restoration of national
pride lost by the resurrection of traditional myths and values of culture and purification
of the society of the toxic influences of foreigners and intellectuals, who would be
blamed for the misery in which the nation lives. It is the US case before an
insurmountable economic crisis like the current one, of the American way of life
impairment and loss of its world hegemony for China.
It should be noted that fascism was a political movement that emerged in Italy after the
First World War, in the 1920s under the leadership of Benito Mussolini and later in
Germany in the 1930s with Adolf Hitler with another form of fascism, Nazism. Italian
Fascism and German Nazism were based on strongly nationalist views and totalitarian
exercise of power, therefore, against the democratic and liberal system, and repression
against the social democratic, socialist and communist ideas. Fascism and Nazism
deployed during the 1920s and 1930s of the twentieth century were based on a strong
state, totalitarian, which claimed to embody the spirit of the people, the exercise of
power by a single party whose authority was imposed through violence, repression and
political propaganda. Fascism was characterized also by aggressive nationalism,
militarism and imperialism in the service of the dominant classes, the cult of leader, the
anticommunism and dictatorship. To put into practice its principles, individual rights
were ignored, Parliament was transformed into a simple advisory body and has created
the political police that crushed all opposition to the regime.
The revival of fascism under the Donald Trump command in the United States would
result fundamentally of its economic decline and the loss of its hegemony on the world
stage in a very short timeframe. All world US relations have changed profoundly in
recent times being forced to share with other countries the power worldwide. The era in

which the United States imposed their will on the international scenario in the economic
and military plans over. This is what is already happening from the Obama
administration. The general crisis of the world capitalist system is accelerating the
geopolitical long-term change, heralding the decline of American power and of
European influence. Donald Trump is a reaction aimed at reversing this trend. His
performance would, in practice, the revival of fascism in the United States. In this
situation described above, it is no longer possible to dismiss the chances of Donald
Trump win the race against Democrat Hillary Clinton and become the next president of
the United States.
