2. Project and Product Outline
The project will benefit Jordan to ensure there are
enough water reserves
Jordan is sitting on a location where it is forced to
share surface and transnational waters
Historically Jordan has been unfortunate to win over
such sensitive areas
This project aims to make the people of Jordan aware
of the water problems
Gain attention from internationally neutral countries
to contribute to the causes in Jordan
3. Current Water Crisis
Every year the average temperature increases by 0.5°C, lowering the
average rainfall that Jordan should receive
Increase in dry days from 4 to 5 days each year
In 1955, Eric Johnston, US ambassador proposed the Jordan Valley
Unified Water Plan
Plan put forth a unambiguous strategy at managing the distribution of
water reserves with Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria
The Arab world refused to agree to this plan and only Jordan decided to
follow the allocations according to the plan
This lead to a mutual disagreement to use the riparian water reserves,
which has lead to scarcity of water supply to all the inclusive nations
4. Statistics
According to the information available at World Bank, increased climatic
situations can be directly linked with increased CO2 emission, indicating
that Jordan emits around 29,147.4 kg of CO2 each day in 2007 as compared
to 27207.6 in 2006 a 6.7% rise in a single year, which is not a good indicator
as the rainfall may decrease even further
5. Solutions
Workshop to educate the general public
Prime time advertising for overall public coverage of the
campaign
Radio FM, brochure/pamphlet distribution, social
networking
Water awareness education programs for children and
university students
Interviews with various celebrities talking about water
shortages in Jordan
Involving various political parties speak about the water
awareness program

organisation
Adding benefits through:

Further contribution from other business or charity organisations

Increasing involvement of other organisations and better response of
having more volunteers fostering long-term relationships
Increase moral views and image of the project aiding Jordan with the
water campaign
Access to information and knowledge from other water campaign
organisations used around the world
More valuable ideas from other countries with better water crisis

various programs regarding water awareness
Collaborate with various other charitable organizations to
consider setting up plantations which would help in slowing
