Project Work
My Favourite Idol
Level: Beginners.
Age group: 10-11 years old.
Time: 50 minutes.
Description: The children look for information about their favourite idol. Then, they
make a poster considering the age and one of the members of the family.
Language:Family members, pronouns (he/she), verb to be “is” and “has got”,
numbers.
Skills:Cutting out, gluing, listening to instructions and to each other’s presentations.
Materials:Colour papers, pencils, colour crayons, scissors, glue, images,
photographs.
Preparation:
1. Make two models of a poster to show the children.
2. Photocopy the posters so the children have a model to write their own
posters.

In class:
1. Revise the members of the family and the pronouns.
2. Ask the children if they know who the famous character on the poster is.
3. Show the children the posters and read them.
4. Ask the children if they understand the information presented in the poster.
5. Give the students the photocopies of the models.
6. Give the children the colour papers.
7. Ask the children to think who their favourite idol is.
8. Ask the children to look for information about their favourite idols.
9. Ask the children to write about their favourite idols.
10. Ask the children to stick the photographs on the poster.
11. Ask the students to present the project orally in front of their classmates.
12. Finally, the teacher sticks all the posters on the wall.
