What is Self-Confidence?
Self-confidence is a concept used to describe how confident a person is in his or
her own decisions and acts, and how free he or she is from doubt.
Confidence is not ’they will like me’. Confidence is ’I will be fine even if they don't.
1. DEVELOP DIRECT EYE
CONTACT
2. SMILE ALWAYS
3.GOOD BODY POSTURE
• The way a person carries herself tells a story.
• Slumped shoulders and lethargic movements display a lack of self confidence.
4.SIT IN THE FRONT ROW
• In Universities and meetings around the world people constantly strive to sit at the back of the room.
• Most people prefer the back because they're afraid of being noticed.
• By deciding to sit in the front row, you can get over this irrational fear and build your self confidence.
• You'll also be more visible to the key people talking from the front of the room.
5.DRESS SHARP
• No one is more conscious of the way you look than you.
• If you've never taken steps to improve your wardrobe, you may not realise the
dramatic effect it can have on your confidence levels.
• When you don't look good, it affects the way you carry yourself and interact.
• When how you appear is in sync with how you want people to view you,
confidence can easily follow.

9. LOVE & ACCEPT YOURSELF

– Do an HONEST evaluation of your life, both past and present Determine
the source of your problems

– Read them daily until it becomes habit

– Determine what your goals are
– Write down goals
– Work hard to achieve them
– Learn from your mistakes and keep going

– Focus on own unique strengths and abilities
– Give yourself praise for the terrific person that you are
13.POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS
– Write down a few positive statements or affirmations
– Start each day with an affirmation
– Repeat several times during the day
14. HAVE AN ATTITUDE OF
GRATITUDE
• When you focus too much on what you want, the mind creates reasons why you
can't have it.
• This leads you to dwell on your weaknesses.
• Therefore a great strategy to avoid this is by focusing on everything you have to
be grateful for.
• Recall past successes, unique skills, loving relationships

– Be consciously aware of any negative thoughts
– Stop your thoughts from becoming negative words and actions
– Write down negative thoughts in journal

– Go to places where you are accepted and uplifted
– Eliminate time spent with negative people
– Once you have learned the steps, it is time to take action
– Listening and learning alone won’t change your life
– Need to start on your own personal journey to happiness and success
19.COMPLIMENT OTHERS
• When we think negatively about ourselves, we often project that feeling on to
others in the form of insults and gossip.
• To break this cycle of negativity, get in the habit of praising others.
• Make an effort to praise and compliment, in the process you will be appreciated
and become well liked and in the process build self confidence.
• By looking for the best in others, you bring out the best in yourself.
20.SPEAKUP
• During group discussions some people never speak up because they're afraid that
others will judge them for saying something stupid.
• This fear is not really justified as people are far more accepting than we imagine.
• Most people are dealing with the exact same fears.
• You'll become a stronger public speaker and more comfortable in your own opinions
by making an effort to speak up at least once in each group discussion.
