3. What is Aporta Initiative?
Aporta is the national initiative of the Spanish Government for promoting the Re-Use of
Public Sector Information (PSI) and fostering the open data culture among the Public
Administration and the Society.
Aporta is a facilitator among the different members
of the open data community in Spain.

5. National Catalogue
Datos.gob.es as national a single access point means:
Less time the user needs to identify datasets that
belong to a high-domain, datasets in a particular
format, datasets available under and open license, and
so on.
Homogenized access to metadata (title, description,
publisher, access url, licence, formats, and so on)
A direct communication channel with the dataset
publisher.

9. ▪ IODC is the essential meeting point for the global community to debate and study the
future of open data.
▪ IODC aims to build stronger relationships between open data initiatives from the
different countries and establish a dialogue between all the stakeholders:
• Policy makers and Public Sector Information (PSI) holders
• Private companies, startups and freelancers
• Activists and NGO´s
• Academia
• Data journalism
• Representatives of civil society from all over the world.
▪ IODC gathers countries from the northern and southern to define tendencies and
establish global policies of collaboration.

15. ‼ Share how you have solved a problem by using OD or transformed
specific sectors: open cities and local data innovation, journalism,
agriculture, environment, education, health, science, culture and many
more.
‼ Give a diverse view of open data achievements in a specific area.
‼ Tell the story as lightning-style talk, in 5-8 minutes.
‼ Allow for interactivity and questions from the audience (Q&As).
‼ Do not forget to include some evidence about the impact of your
success story.

16. ‼ Host a panel, an interactive workshop, a tutorial, or other kind of event on
an innovative topic approach, in order to discuss specific topics to
solve challenges, collect best practices and learn from others.
‼ Design an interactive and engaging thematic space to have in-depth
engagement with peers on specific open data subjects.
‼ Host a session that lasts between 1- 2 hours.
‼ Include in the submission a tentative agenda, a detailed composition of
the session and the requirements.
