Content management refers to the system and processes whereby
informa5on is created, managed, published, and archived. Informa5on
typically passes through this lifecycle for a finite period of 5me. A content
management system (CMS) provides the necessary infrastructure for
mul5ple persons to effec5vely contribute content and collaborate
throughout these lifecycles.

The Bo4om Line: Efficiently Manage Online InformaAon
A CMS represents a major departure from tradi5onal methods. Not only are
business processes altered, but more business users and fewer technical
personnel are involved in day‐to‐day content management opera5ons.
Content boHlenecks are removed, while content backups are automa5cally
generated. A CMS changes the way online informa5on is managed.
