2. Objectives
The FlexNet Manager Platform Implementation Service has two primary objectives:
• Technical and operational implementation of the FlexNet Manager Platform in the organization’s environment
• Enabling the enterprise to quickly get business value from its hardware and/or software asset management program and
gain control over the IT estate
Delivery Approach
This service will be delivered as a short-term consulting engagement. Flexera Software consultants will install the FlexNet
Manager Platform application in the organization’s environment(s) and will then perform basic configuration of FlexNet
Manager Platform settings.
Project Timeline
The timeline for this service correlates with the size of the enterprise.
Implementation Services Typical range: 7 – 25 days
Projects may include implementation in test or staging
environments in addition to production implementation

Operational FlexNet Manager Platform server system(s) in the organization’s environment:
• Configured for both desktop and datacenter environments
• Including Application Recognition Library (ARL) and Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) libraries with more than 110,000 software
titles and 340,000 software part numbers respectively
• Configured to collect inventory across all platform types, e.g., Windows, UNIX, Linux, MAC OS, etc. as needed
Primary Audience
The FlexNet Manager Platform Implementation Service will typically be purchased in conjunction with a new FlexNet Manager
Platform license. The primary target audience/buyer for this service is: CIO, CFO, VP of Procurement, Software Asset Manager,
SAM Project Manager.
