8. How does your media product represent particular
social groups?
The colours I have used

Black, blue & red. I kept this

9. What kind of media institution might distribute
your media product and why?
My magazine would not sell unless I am joined to a publishing company and a company
that is willing to distribute my magazine. If I want my media product to sell I will have to
go to a institution that sells a lot of magazines and know that they are doing so, I would
join forces with “Future media with passion” in order to distribute
my magazine. They have been in the Media industry since 1985.
The magazine example that I used “Vibe” Is published by “Vibe
Media|Access network” .
As my magazines is a music magazine, I would like for my
Magazine to be sold in places where a lot of people shop, such as
The super market, news paper stands where people walk past and can see my magazine
on the shelf. Shops such as “WHSmith” would be a great idea too, as they sell a lot of
magazines daily and my target audience would be seen there regularly as majority of
them would be students. News agents would definitely be ideal, as they are everywhere
and easy to access by all ages between 16-25 years old.

me with my research.
12. Looking back at your preliminary exercise, what do
you feel you have learnt in the progression from it
to the full product?
Every time I look back out the preliminary exercise I fell like
that was when I didn’t know anything about constructing a
magazine, it looks so childish and unfinished compared to my
music magazine. I really learnt how to put together a
magazine, how to use all of the available software's for editing.
My college magazine looks rather messy and all over the
place, where as my music magazine looks neat and shows that
I’ve spent a lot of time on it to make it look good.
I learnt that the way a product looks is very important, the
audience won’t be interested unless it stands out to them, this
includes the use of colours, the layout and the way the text is
written out, depending on what your target age group is.
Planning the college magazine was easy, the photos didn’t
have to be perfect, whereas for my music magazine they had
to be perfect if I want people to actually be interested in my
magazine.
A lot of research and planning went into my final product,
without this it would be incomplete and would all over the
place, it was so important that I planned out exactly what I
wanted it to look like and what I wanted in my magazine too.
