CONVOCATION – PGDM Batch 2010‐12
26th
December, 2012 would be the most remembered day by all students of PGDM (Post Graduate
Diploma in Management) batch of 2010‐12 of Marwadi Education Foundations’ Group of Institutions as
these students were conferred upon the PGDM degree certificates in much extravagant graduation
ceremony held in the campus. This auspicious ceremony marked a presence of Dignitaries inclusive of
Shri Jitendra Chandarana, Vice Chairman, MEFGI, Mr. Ravi Jagani, CEO, Atul Industries Ltd., Rajkot, Dr.
Y.P. Kosta, Director‐Technical Campus, MEFGI, Dr. S. Chinnam Reddy, Dr. R.B. Jadeja, and Dr. Sridaran
Rajagopal – deans of Faculty of Management, Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Computer
Application, MEFGI, respectively.

Convocation of PGDM batch 2010‐12
The event began with lighting up of the lamp by the Dignitaries with a prayer rendered by
students of PGDM followed by the welcome with flower bouquets.
The convocation was opened with very warm welcome address by Dr. S.C.Reddy where he
recognized the glorious achievements earned by students of graduating PGDM batch of 2010‐12. Dr.
Reddy, who is an academician himself gave very insightful advice of “Truthfulness, Trustworthiness,
Transparency, Transformation, Persistent, Thoughtfulness” to graduating students. He emphasized on
continuous learning by quoting “Person who graduated yesterday will be illiterate tomorrow if he stops
learning.”
The ceremony, then was taken forwarded by Prof. Rutwa Mehta by proposing conferment of
degree followed with award of Degree certificates to all graduating students of PGDM of batch 2010‐12
by MEFGI Chairman Shri Jitendra Chandarana.

To add in much of the delighted and excited mood of students, Chief Guest of the ceremony,
Mr. Ravi Jagani, CEO Amul Industries gave pep up speech to encourage students to utilize the
knowledge they have gained in academic, at its best. Mr. Ravi Jagani, young industrialists, avid
technologists and former management student himself shared his intellect thoughts on very
contemplative subject of Choosing Right Career. He mentioned that graduating students today face the
fear of choice as they have thousand of career options to choose from as compared to options
available 20 years back. He emphasized on pursuing one’s passion to ensure success and said money
should be the byproduct of it. He also asked students not to be fearful and have some risk appetite in
order to make it big in life. He urged students to use promising Indian economy to their advantage by
citing his own examples.
While concluding his speech, he has advised students not to forget respecting their parents,
gurus and elders, who will always be there to support in all times – good or bad.

Mr. Jagani showered all praise on the Top Management of MEFGI – Shri Ketanbhai H. Marwadi
and others – for their vision to make MEFGI, the most desirable academic hub in the world with
excellent infrastructure, quality education and social activities.
This convocation ceremony was concluded with Vote of Thanks from Prof. Rutwa Mehta – a
PGDM coordinator followed with group photos and sumptuous dinner in the campus itself.
