SETTING
–Time: No specific time
–Place: In Karina's House
–Event: A Mother become
pregnant.but.she didn't expect that the
baby has no feet.
PLOT SYNOPSIS
There's a young girl named Karina who has a father. That Works as
a shoe maker. Every time she got a honor or some special
occasions like birthday, Christmas and first day of school his father
make a shoe for her. She grown up with the shoes make of his
father. Some of her classmates jealous to her because every time
she has a new shoes. Karina is in a Grade 2 student when she has
a younger sister, named Susie but when her mother is pregnant.
There's is a disease that the doctor encounter it is called "German
Measles". So her youngest sister born with no feet. Every time
she looks to her/his parents she feel lonely because her parents
has a big dream to her little
sister. Her father wants to her little sister become a ballet dancer
someday, but Susie born with no feet. Every time when the birthday
of Susie's near, Susie dream about the shoes that his father make.
Then one day his father died when her little sister was 12 years old.
Karina go to the storage to look for some shoes to donate to the
asylum but she encountered a cabinet that has 12 different types of
shoes, then when she look for it she saw a dedication card and it is
for Susie, to her little sister. Then she get it all and go to her mother
and little sister wonder because it is the exact shoes in her dream
every time her birthday comes. So Karina thanks that every birthday
of her little sister her father made a shoes for Susie. So this world
isn't perfect we just have to accept the good and bad side of our lives.
PLOT TYPE
– The story’s plot type is classic plot because the
story begins with the introduction of the father
who is a shoemaker.
– The plot device used by the story is foreshadow
because the father wants his younger daughter to
become a ballet dancer when it is born.
PLOT PYRAMID
CONFLICT
– Man vs. Society. Both Karina and Susie have been so
lucky to have a father who is known to be the best
shoemaker in their place. But ironic as it can be, Susie
can never wear the shoes that her father makes -
because of her disability. People around them criticizes
their disabled daughter Susie, when she was born by her
mother she doesn’t have feet sadly her dad wants her to
become a ballet dancer but it was impossible because
she is a disabled person.
THEME OF THE STORY
– The theme of the story is even if you are disabled
person, the love of your family is more worthy
and matters. You must forget your disability and
focus on what you want and what you love. The
love of your friends may fade but the love and
care that you receive from your family does not
that’s why give importance to that.
POINT OF VIEW
– It is first person point of view Karina is the one of the
daughter and she is the one who tells the story about
her family. She is a limited narrator because she doesn’t
narrate what are the things going on the mind of any
characters. The family of Karina suffers of being criticized
by other there are times that her father gets anger of
someone saying something bad about her sister Susie.
