qualifying, quantifying and representing uncertainty and
inconsistency at each step of this process.

representation. An ethics of representation imposes a
certain level of formalism.

level of formalism. There is a need for semantic
framework capable of coding historical information and
meta-historical information.

bigger role in historical debates.
