The NSE NiftyBSE Midcap 7,051 7,022 0.41 ended above 5600 for the first time in five days as investors cheered a solid recovery in the European equityBSE Smallcap 8,463 8,394 0.82 markets. Tuesday’s upswing was led by IT, Telecom and Realty stocks while the mid-cap and the small-capNifty Junior 11,416 11,414 0.01 indices also posted modest gains. Railways-related stocks were in the limelight with stocks like Kernex Micro and Kalindee Rail surging over 6% each. On the other hand, Auto, Capital Goods and Power stocks wereCNX Midcap 8,213 8,197 0.19 under some pressure. Technically, the NSE Nifty has found strong support at its 100 DMA (5570 level), indicating further upside in the coming days. Finally, the BSE Sensex ended at 18,654 gaining 147 points. It had earlier touched a days high of 18,690 and a days low of 18,481.
