in a nutshellin a nutshell
Low and lower-middle income countries, which are mainly located in the
tropics, often lack capacities in support of agricultural innovation
To address this gap, the G20 launched the Tropical Agriculture Platform
(TAP) in 2012
With more than 40 partners, TAP is facilitating greater coherence and
impact of capacity development in the tropics
Based on regional needs assessments (by regional partners) the TAP Action
Plan 2014-17 developed
TAP Common Framework developed aiming to achieve better coherence and impact of
capacity development
Framework applied in 8 countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America (EU-funded CDAIS
project)
Organizations of policy dialogues
TAPipedia developed to support the objectives of TAP and CDAIS

- 31 organizations/individuals
expressed interest to join the
network
- Stakeholders started to
share experiences on capacity
development (almost 20
documents)
29. Feed Back: Swisscontact Katalyst
TAPipedia is an interesting platform of knowledge exchange and
sharing… after the documents were uploaded, it brought me into
great satisfaction to have Katalyst resources open for wider
audiences. I also shared the TAPipedia link on Katalyst's FB page. I
believe TAPipedia, can be a good source of knowledge bank for the
development practitioners, if widely promoted. I wish TAPipedia
great success.

Practitioner, Swisscontact-Katalyst.
