Development
When the teacher grouped the students, then gave some rectangular prisms in different units for each groups.
Then the teacher asked to find the length, breadth and height of these rectangular prisms.
Then asked to find the base area of these rectangular prisms. Then teacher told the students that to write about the length, breadth and height of these rectangular prisms in a chart.
Gr.No:
Length of the
rectangular prism
Breadth of the rectangular prism
Height of the rectangular prism
l×b×h
Base Area
Base Area×Height
7. Here the teacher concluded that the volume of a rectangular prism is equal to the product of base area and height.
Then for clearing the concept, teacher shows some slides in laptop.
ie, VOLUME OF A RECTANGULAR PRISM IS THE PRODUCT OF BASE AREA AND ITS HEIGHT.
VOLUME OF RECTANGULAR PRISM
Base Area of rectangular prism = l×b l
Height of rectangular prism = h
Therefore,
Volume of rectangular prism = l×b×h

8. 8
Children read carefully and understand the concept.
Then for finding to accept the children, teacher gave a problem.
Application
1.
Complete the volume of a rectangular prism whose length 24 c.m, Breadth 15 c.m, height 32 c.m.
Teacher wanted to read the question.
Then asked what is length?
What is breadth?
What is height?
What is the formula for finding volume of rectangular prism?
Therefore, V=lbh
= 24×15×32
=11520 c.m3
l=24 cm
b=15 cm
h=32cm
v=lbh
=24*15*32
=11520 cm3
