Editor's Notes

  1. There has been a three-fold increase in the percentage of students taking online classes.
  2. There is a 7% difference between the retention rates of our online courses vs. our face-to-face courses.
  3. Course Success Definition:   Student succeeds in the course.  A, B, C, CR, P grade notations Course Success Rate:   Percent of students successful in courses out of total enrolled in courses.  There is a 9% average difference in our success rates in online courses over our face-to-face classes.
  4. The most important support for DE at College of the Redwoods is the people – the faces behind the computer screens. CR is a small college but innovative in a number of ways. One of them is the support for DE with a dedicated DE advisor, Barry Tucker.
