Best practices with cirip.eu - paper to be presented at WCES, 2010, www.wces2010.org
Microblogging is considered the Web 2.0 technology of 2009 with more and more users from various domains taking interest in it. Using applications like Twitter, Plurk, Edmodo or Cirip.eu, microblogging has become one of the first words associated with Web 2.0 as far as online social interactions, conversational discourse, communication and/or collaboration through social networks are concerned, but among the last that educational actors take into consideration.
In this paper the authors aim to examine closely how microblogging can contribute to improve the educational process through teaching methods which are closer to the way of thinking of students. Thus, among others methods like teaching with questions, discourse, didactic conversation, e-portfolios, projects, teaching with collaboration or academic controversy etc., it will be discussed how a teaching method based on multimedia objects can be used in a clear and straight manner in the micro-lectures carried out on the microblogging platform cirip.eu by the authors, in formal (university) as well as informal (continuous adult education) contexts.
