1. Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Understand and assist in implementing company's strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives.
Manage the product development process from concept definition through to the end of a products life.
Directs and performs all aspects of
product development, product changes and product promotions including development procedures , specifying components, packaging and header design , product positioning, pricing , catalogue and sell sheet copy, training aides and point of purchase merchandisers.
Regularly perform
pricing and competitive analysis by customer channel and recommend strategies to improve market position, improve quality or reduce costs.
Conduct and assist in market research activities to identify targeted business area regarding product lines.
Create and supervise marketing
plans and develop marketing activities / campaigns.
Product market intelligence of competitor activities and execute timely plan to beat competition.
Communicate, interact & influence internal employees regarding the specified products strategy.
Remain up to date with the
continuous development of related services and features concerning the product at hand.
Brainstorm to create new ideas for new product concepts, and for existing ones to maintain the product livelihood in the market.
Manage and communicate sales information and product
changes both internally and externally.
Represent the marketing department in group meetings.
Supervise, coach and train subordinates, provide guidance and direction.
Principal Accountabilities:
Become the Fanoos resident ‘expert’ on voice, data, entertainment applications, systems and services being developed and available in the market place.
Create, receive, define and propose product concept opportunities within new system features to the
Marketing Director and first line reports. To work with members of this group to further define the concept, target segment, needs and leveraging opportunities as well as factors which need to be researched in depth.
Research approved product / service concepts to determine if such
concepts meet criteria established in the product development process for consideration by Fanoos
Establish a process by which new product initiatives can be reviewed and committed by members of the management team.
Manage and co-ordinate the examination of requirements
and definition of approved Product / Service development projects through the functional department reviews and specification inputs to the organisation.
Work closely with the Market Research function to determine the target customers’ desired product / service feature and
functional design levels and/or feasibility of each service.
Support product development initiatives gaining Director Approval of each new product project through the presentation of complete product project specifications and financial return on investment criteria.
Using the
developed process for product initiative review and commitment, develop a list of suitable vendors, an RFP for selection of vendors for new product/service platforms when required, and criteria for final selection. Maintaining contact with vendors and expediting the transfer of required
information to facilitate decision making process by the agreed management committee
Review, manage and co-ordinate upgrade applications to existing Services with Technical, MIS/IS., Customer Care, and other Company Divisions while taking to account impacts on customers and
existing corporate practices
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervise Business Development team in all aspects which includes: - Assigns & reviews work assignments - Prepares Performance Plans

Minor Duties & Responsibilities:
Supporting Sales organization in channel development. Supporting Marcom section
in transforming Features and Benefits to actual MARCOMS. Supporting technical department in translating Value propositions into specific system parameters.
Supporting Finance department in generating cash requirements, budgets.
Supporting Managers in providing strategic input
on key issues such as long-term company risks or possible areas of vertical or horizontal expansion.
Preparation and contribution to overall Business rules of the company and determining how we operate/ who should do what.

Frequently an indoor controlled whether work environment, mostly sitting and operating PC. Rarely be in the field, standing or walking. Operating environment is expected to be highly price competitive which may lead to declining Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) as the market expands.
The development of services in the short term and laying the foundations for the introduction of WiMax services requires an aggressive and disciplined approach, is addition, continuous introduction and launch of new services and sources of revenue growth are critical to the Fanoos’s
future success.
