Describe your relationship with the subject
I was the supervisor of Regional Project (CIMB Auto Finance Malaysia) and subject was the
Manager Audit Development (CIMB Niaga Auto Finance). Subject reporting to me from
commencement of the project until full implementation.
Can you list 3 of the subject's professional strengths?
 Highly knowledgeable as far as corporate governance and audit are concerned.
 Excellent leadership quality garnering full support from downliners.
 High integrity and very professional in executing tasks assigned.
How effective was the subject at his/her job?
Can you give examples?
 Very effective as I never have to closely monitor his work. All I need to do was to put
down my expectations of the system and subject will come up with a complete prototype
fairly quickly.
 Subject is also capable of providing constructive solutions on all system and resources
shortcomings.
What were the subject's professional weaknesses or
areas you think he/she could improve?
If any, did it affect the subject’s performance?

he/she react?
Nothing significant.
Did the subject work well under pressure?
Can you give an example?
Subject can work very well under pressure. Actually, due to my busy schedule, I assigned
the whole package of the project to him which includes new recruitments of staff,
enhancement of the company overall Policy & Procedures together with his expertise, which
is system development.
Despite the fact that some of the areas were not under his jurisdiction, he will find ways and
the correct people to finish the job on time and with expected quality and standard.
How would you assess the subject’s performance
compared to other people in a similar capacity?
Was it under average, average or above average?
One of the reasons that I assigned most areas of the project to the subject because I believe
in his capability, commitment and knowledge. I was working against time at that point of
time and I could not afford an average staff to delay me and luckily the subject was there to
assist me.
Subject is definitely an above average material.
Did the subject get on well his/her colleagues/clients?
As far as human interaction is concern, subject carries himself well.
Being humble as one of his positive character does not stop him from clearly communicate
his intentions and expectation to his subordinate and all the people around him.
Did the subject manage any staff? If so, did he/she
have good people management skills (ability to
delegate, motivate, plan…)?
Yes, subject has his own group of staff which simply adore him as instructions and targets
are put down clearly.
Motivating his staff during tense moment by providing structured guidance and feasible
recommendation has made the relationship stronger enabling smooth executions of all tasks.
Did you consider the subject to be a reliable person?

Subject is very reliable and dependable. Works are finished and completed in time with
specified standard observed.

Can you give an example?
Subject is a person of high integrity. He will not hide any wrongdoing or flaws in the
operation system that might jeopardise the company as a whole.
Were there any problems with punctuality or
attendance?
Never has punctuality issue. Subject will be among the first in the office and the last to
leave.
Did the subject have any personal problems or habits
that interfered with his/her job?
Not that I know of.
Did the subject give sufficient notice when he/she left?
Not Applicable.

Definitely.
