Note that…. the ratio of males to females is relatively equal during        childhood and through the working age years.

The next slide will show an “average” of other countries that have reached the Industrial Phase of Demographic Transition.

Italy is a country whose population has a much higher percentage of adults than children.

India has more than 1 billion people in its population and based on this population profile, what does the future hold for it?
