2. Can I buy
for someone
else?
You cannot buy a policy for someone else
directly. But you can cover them as dependents
when you buy a policy for yourself. Qualified
dependents are as follows:
1. Legal Spouse, aged 18 to 54 years old
2. Life Partner, aged 18 to 54 years old, if you both do not
have any legal spouse
3. Legitimate and/or illegitimate children, aged 30 days old
to 22 years old, of any of the following: the Policy
Owner, the Insured Dependent Spouse, or Insured
Dependent Life Partner

Your dependents must be in good health, and not a
‘confirmed COVID-19 case’, and must be a Filipino
citizen or a foreigner who is a legal resident of the
Philippines.
4. Singlife will issue an e-Policy within
24 hours after you have completed
the application process and payment.
It will be sent to your registered email
address and will also be available in
the Policy Page in the GCash app. The
e-Policy is in PDF format and is readily
printable.

5. You may cancel your policy within 15
days after you receive it (via email or
through the Policy Page in your
GCash app) and Singlife will return all
premiums paid. Your policy is
considered received after we have
sent the e-Policy to your registered

soon can
I file a
claim?
You can file a claim 15 days upon
the effective date of your policy.

7. Can I claim
for both
Dengue and
COVID-19
Insurance in
the same
policy year?
• Test Allowance – You can only claim
once for this benefit may it be for Dengue
or COVID-19.
• Confinement Allowance – You can claim
this benefit up to 4 times in your lifetime.
• Severe Dengue Benefit – You can claim
multiple times for this benefit up to the
maximum benefit amount.
• Severe COVID-19 Benefit – You can only
claim once.

8. How does
Singlife verify
the validity of
claims? What
happens when a
claim is proven
fraudulent?
Singlife has a dedicated team who reviews the
information and supporting documents
provided by the claimants.
If necessary, additional references will be
requested by email. If the claim is proven to be
invalid, the benefit will not be released.

9. Singlife accepts test results that may
not be in our list of accredited
hospitals and clinics, if they are issued
by licensed government & private
hospitals and clinics.

You may submit supporting documents that

COVID-19, despite previous results
showing you turned out initially negative.

11. What expenses
are considered
free of charge?
You cannot file for expenses that are free of
charge. Any test, treatment, confinement, and
other service that is paid for the Philippine
government or any of its institutions or by
private institutions are not covered under this
product. It should not be part of an insurance
benefit or any other service that were paid for
by himself/herself or another person/entity
prior to getting the service. Also, any service
that is not for the treatment of Dengue or
COVID-19 is not covered.

12. Yes, you are covered for Dengue even when you are travelling
outside of the Philippines. Singlife will pay the benefits as
follows:
1. For Dengue Test Allowance – The full test allowance
amount will be paid, if positive.
2. For Dengue Fever (Confinement Allowance) – The full
confinement allowance amount will be paid.
3. For Severe Dengue Benefit (Medical Cost Reimbursement) –
To provide affordable insurance coverage to their customers,
Singlife's products are created based on medical treatments in
the Philippines. They will need to re-assess the hospital
expenses for Severe Dengue Benefit to a comparable amount
in Philippine Peso had it been administered in the Philippines.
The total amount to be paid will be subject to the maximum
benefit amount for Severe Dengue Benefit.
All payments will be paid in Philippine Peso, applying the
conversion rate at the time of the payout, if applicable.

13. If I live with
someone who
was diagnosed
with COVID-19,
will I still be
qualified to get
COVID-19
Insurance?
As long as you are not a ‘confirmed COVID-19
case’ at the time of purchase, you will be
covered. However, if you are tested and
diagnosed with COVID-19 within 15 days from
the time of purchase, your claim for any
benefit will not be covered.

14. I am a frontliner,
will I still be
qualified to get
COVID-19
Insurance?
You are still entitled to the full benefit when it comes
to the Test Allowance and Hospitalization Benefit.
However, if you are directly involved in handling
COVID-19 patients, you are only entitled to up to 50%
of the Severe COVID-19 Benefit.
Frontliner shall mean any medical staff that is involved
in the treatment of COVID-19 patients, may they be
suspected, probable or confirmed cases. Laboratory
Workers and Morgue Workers who handle specimens
and bodies of COVID-19 patients are also considered
as being directly involved in handling COVID-19
patients.

15. Your free COVID-19 insurance is only
good for 1 year and cannot be renewed.
