A2 MEDIA :
By the end of this lesson you will know what to
expect in A2 Media and my expectations for
this year.
You will have designed your new blog and set
yourself some targets for the year ahead.

In the evaluation the following four questions must be addressed:
• In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and
conventions of real
media products?
• How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
• What have you learned from your audience feedback?
• How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and
evaluation stages?

PART 1a : Evaluation of your AS and A2 productions.
Part 1b)
8. Task 1:
Search the internet for “A2 Media Music Videos”
Look at the at the marking criteria and put it in a
band. Level 1 , 2, 3 or 4. Use a best fit approach.
Be prepared to justify your decisions.
9. Feedback:
Why did you put it in that band?
What could have been better?
What would you have done to improve this
work?

Write any questions you have on a post-it and
stick it on the table.
11. lESSON 2:
You will have designed your new blog and set
yourself some targets for the year ahead.
New blogs. Stick/write your usernames in your
planners.
Log into your new blog space and customise it.
Make it look AMAZING!
12. Task:
Your first blog post is going to be about evaluating your
work last year and setting yourself 4 targets for this year.
1. What were your strengths last year?
2. What was an area of weakness?
3. Outline four targets.
Do not post until I have checked it.
13. One of the evaluation questions for this year is:
• What have you learned from your audience feedback?
Write a list of 10 ideas you could use to gather your target
audiences’ opinions this year .
