1-Please provide a response for the provided. 2-Minimum of 100 for each. Response #1 (classmate Marcos) A very controversial contemporary problem that many of us may face in our lives is racism. It has stemmed from the abhorration of a many ancestors and sparked many people today. Someone who advocates racism would view racism as a part of history and that it is unalterable. In the streets, you may even find marches and rallies that are for or against racism and its supporters. Being as disputable as it is, conflict is an unavoidable result that cannot be deterred in this scenario. In our latter-day society, compared to the majority of the population that promote anti-racism, only a handful of people are still pro-racism. Any interactionist would be able to at least understand the importance of ridding the thoughts and ideas behind racism. But, on the other hand, people may see this differently than others; it is thought of in many religions you can not have a society that does not recognize both the good and the bad. In this case, anti-racism has taken the form of the good while pro-racism has taken the latter. Response #2 (classmate Amanda) One major contemporary social problem that many face is gender equality. The perspective of a functionalist would view this as a form that gender inequalities exist as an efficient way to create labor division or a social system in which particular segments of the population is responsible for certain acts. A proponent of theory conflict would argue that the only reason these roles persists is because the dominant group works to maintain power and status. An interactionist perspective believes that gender inequality exists because the way people act toward each other based of the meaning they have for one another. They also believe that these meanings are derived through social interaction and these meanings are transformed and managed by people using an interpretive process to make sense of, and handle the objects that compose their social worlds. Populations are considered at greater health risk when there is high child and infant mortality. Brain development in infants and young children requires dietary resources to ensure cognitive development. Health disparities result in infectious disease being more prevalent among the poor. · Introduction · Select a specific at risk and vulnerable population to research by finding a study related to the healthcare and food access available to them. · Discuss the level of infant and child mortality found in that population. · Include any poverty and education statistics that you find. · Are there lessons that can be learned and applied to Saudi Arabia’s population? · Conclusion · References ...

G1375 · Index: Youth & Families, Families Issued February 2016 Cultural Competence An Important Skill Set for the 21st Century Maria Rosario T. de Guzman, Extension Specialist in Adolescence Tonia R. Durden, Extension Specialist in Early Childhood Education Sarah A. Taylor, Graduate Research Assistant Jackie M. Guzman, Extension Educator Kathy L. Potthoff, Extension Educator Displaying the cultural competency behaviors of active listening, empathy, and effective engagement can help us to create a welcoming environment and establish the appreciation of similarities and differences among cultures. Cultural competence is the ability of a person to effectively interact, work, and develop meaningful relationships with people of various cultural backgrounds. Cultural background can include the beliefs, customs, and behaviors of people from various groups. Gaining cultural competence is a lifelong process of increasing self-awareness, developing social skills and behaviors around diversity, and gaining the ability to advocate for others. It goes beyond tolerance, which implies that one is simply willing to overlook differences. Instead, it includes recognizing and respecting diversity through our words and actions in all contexts. Why Is Cultural Competence Important? Demographic shifts and an increasingly diverse population The United States has always had an ethnically diverse population, including African Americans, Native Americans, and Japanese Americans, to name a few. In recent years, our country has undergone dramatic shifts in its population, particularly as rapid migration has changed its landscape. For example, the Hispanic population in the U.S. rose from approximately 12.5 percent in 1990 to over 16 percent by 2009, and is anticipated to comprise 25 percent of the population by 2050. The U.S. Census Bureau estimates that by 2043, the U.S. will become a “majority minority” country. This means that although the non-Hispanic white population will still be the biggest group, a single group will no longer make up the majority. More than 50 percent of the population will identify as belonging to an ethnic minority group or any group other than non-Hispanic white. In other words, although we have always lived in an ethnically diverse society, we are all operating in an increasingly culturally diverse environment where we need to be able to interact, communicate, build relationships, and work effectively with people from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Moreover, those of us working with youth need to prepare them to operate in a society that will be even more diverse in terms of religion, ethnic background, and sexual orientation. Societies are increasingly becoming globalized Today’s world is diverse and global. Technology has made interactions across cultures around the world a very common experience. Social networking sites, blogs, and chat rooms are letting people regularly interact across national borders. Many industries currentl.

In today's digital world, trust is key to customer relationships, but keeping it is a huge challenge. Customers are well-informed and empowered, quick to change brands if their trust is broken, even if it costs them more. This puts a lot of pressure on organizations to handle trust and safety issues with great care and transparency. The challenge, however, is real. Fragmented solutions have left privacy, legal, and security teams in a perpetual cycle of catch-up, struggling to update privacy notices, manage customer data rights, and answer lengthy security questionnaires—all while trying to prove ROI to the business. It's a thankless job, filled with repetition, tedious tasks, and constant interdepartmental coordination. Combine this with fast regulatory changes and the quick evolution of AI, and it becomes overwhelming. Join this webinar to learn more about TrustArc's new innovative solution Trust Center, the only unified, no-code online hub for trust and safety information built for privacy, security, compliance, and legal teams. Trust Center streamlines your path to compliance, shortens the pre-sales cycle, and reduces both legal and regulatory risks, saving time, effort, and cost. This webinar will review: - Why companies are building unified Trust Centers for a robust privacy program. - How unified Trust Centers streamline sales cycles, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce operational bottlenecks. - How compliance, legal, security, GRC, and privacy teams benefit from a unified Trust Center in terms of needs, pains, and outcomes. - How TrustArc Trust Center saves time and work while reducing legal, reputational, and compliance risk by effectively managing policies, notices, terms, and disclosures, and providing real-time updates on subprocessors.

This our Twelfth semiannual report on the global Cryptocurrency mining industry. Bitcoin is the world’s largest special purpose supercomputer. And it is globally decentralized. Millions of nodes all run the same open-source code to secure the Bitcoin network, create value, and put new transactions onto the distributed ledger. The latest Top500 list has just been announced at the ISC 2024 conference in Hamburg, and once again the Frontier supercomputer with 1.2 Exaflops peak performance is number one on the list. If assigned to SHA-256 hashing, Frontier would provide only the equivalent hash rate of about three cabinets of the latest high-end Bitcoin mining systems, costing less than 0.1% of Frontier’s cost. Michael Saylor, Chairman of MicroStrategy, has pointed out that GPUs are two orders of magnitude slower than the 5-nanometer technology of custom ASICs used for Bitcoin mining today. He makes the point that the Bitcoin network is unassailable by all of the hyperscale computing resources combined in AWS, Google, and Microsoft Azure cloud data centers today.

Generative AI refers to a class of machine learning algorithms that are designed to generate new data samples that are similar to those in the training data. Unlike traditional AI models that are trained to recognize patterns and make predictions, generative AI models have the ability to create entirely new data based on the patterns they have learned. This is achieved through techniques such as generative adversarial networks (GANs), variational autoencoders (VAEs), and transformer architectures, among others.

Join me in this session where I'll share our journey of building a fully serverless application that flawlessly managed check-ins for an event with a staggering 80 thousand registrations. We'll dive into three key strategies that made this possible. Firstly, by harnessing DynamoDB global tables, we ensured global service availability and data replication across regions, boosting performance and disaster recovery. Next, we'll explore how we seamlessly integrated real-time updates into the app using Appsync subscriptions, making the experience dynamic and engaging for users. Finally, I'll discuss how provisioned concurrency not only improved performance but also kept costs in check, highlighting the cost-effectiveness of serverless architectures. Through these strategies and the inherent scalability of serverless technology, our application effortlessly handled massive user loads without manual intervention. This session is a real world example to the power and efficiency of modern cloud-based solutions in enabling seamless scalability and robust performance with Serverless
