Registration The goal of this process is to allow new PHR users to self-register on the system, and to allow them to access all available historical information (eg, claims data). The registration process has two main variations : direct access to the PHR, or access through a pre-validation (“trusted source”) process (such as Aetna’s SSO process). For members who register directly are responsible for providing the identifying data elements that will match them to records in their carrier’s eligibility files and to data feeds such as claims information and care considerations. For members who use a “trusted source” process, the carrier (or potentially the employer) who manages the process must pass to the PHR the data elements associated with the member that will permit us to uniquely identify that member in the eligibility files and data feeds.
