2. Djibouti??? I bet you have never heard of the country Djibouti. Am I right? Well Djibouti is actually called the Republic of Djibouti, but it is a bit of a mouth full so is just shortened to Djibouti. Anyway it is placed the Horn of Africa. Djibouti is about 23,000 square kilometres with a population of around 500,000, so as you can see it is not very big or popular.
4. Languages ARABIC FRENCH These are the main two languages spoken in Djibouti, a large number of people also speak Somali, but this is not taught at schools or hardly ever written. Somalis almost make up for more than one half of the total population of Djibouti.
5. Food and Drink The common foods in this country are: fresh seafood, lentils and meat. They do not drink very much alcohol because a wide range of the population observe the Islamic religion.
6. clothes Fashion in Djibouti is really quite different compared to what we wear here. They wear lots of jewellery especially around their necks. Most of the clothes are usually brightly coloured and have ethnic patterns.
