This document provides the daily schedule and expectations for fourth grade students. It outlines the daily schedule which includes classes, recess, lunch and homeroom. It lists behavioral expectations of being respectful, responsible, motivated and kind. It provides information on homework expectations, grading policies, field trips planned for the year, and standardized testing dates.

5. Please read and initial your child’s agenda daily. Teachers will use the agenda to communicate your child’s accomplishments and misbehaviors.
6. When a student must be out because of illness or family business, please call the office to let us know. When your child returns, please send a note stating the reason for the absence.
7. Students will be given 2 days for each day absent to make-up their work. For example: 1 day absent = 2 days to complete make-up work.
8. School begins at 7:45. If your child arrives after that time, they must check in at the office in order to receive a tardy permit.

10. One day late = (-10 pts.) = 90 points possible Two days late = (-20 pts.) = 80 points possible Three days late = (-30 pts.) = 70 points possible If late work becomes a habit for a student, the teacher will contact the parent to discuss how the problem can be remedied.

12. A lot of the graded work will be kept in students’ journals. Please contact your teacher if you are interested in viewing them.
