7. NKBA Board of Directors’ Gala

The kick-off event for K/BIS, the NKBA Board of Directors’ Gala will be held in beautiful Centennial Olympic Park.
The evening will include a cocktail reception, as well as a silent auction to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of
America, which is based in Atlanta. In addition, the 2009 Kitchen & Bath Industry Hall of Fame inductees will
be announced, followed by a gourmet meal and the presentation of the Pinnacle of Design Award, which is the
premiere award from the 2009 NKBA Design Competition. The gala will conclude with a luxurious dessert,
followed by music and dancing.

The 2009 NKBA Design Competition is the largest ever for this internationally-acclaimed competition, which show-
cases the finest kitchen and bath projects of the past year. The competition winners will be announced live on the
show floor at NKBA Center Stage in front of dozens of members of the consumer and trade media. In addition, the
winners of the 2008/2009 Student Design Competition will also be revealed, featuring the best designs from the
next generation of kitchen and bath designers attending NKBA-accredited colleges and universities.
