Fondata nel 1963, la WBC è uno dei più antichi ed importanti organismi internazionali
che sancisce e regolamenta i titoli dei pugili professionisti. Ha sede a Città del Messico ed

Per poter scegliere i guanti più adatti alle tue esigenze è necessario con-
siderare alcuni fattori:
Pelle o sintetico?
I guanti in vera pelle sono molto più mordibi e resistenti e adatti a tutti
coloro che ricercano un prodotto di qualità superiore e di lunga durata. E’
la scelta dei fighters più esigenti che si allenano intensamente.
I guanti in sintetico costituiscono invece il miglior compromesso fra qua-
lità e prezzo. Consigliati a chi si avvicina alla pratica degli sport da ring
o si allena con frequenza moderata.
Chiusura: velcro o lacci?
Il velcro permette una maggior velocità di apertura e chiusura e quindi
di utilizzo. Grazie alla sua praticità, viene solitamente preferito negli al-
lenamenti in palestra.
La chiusura con i lacci è obbligatoria per gli incontri di boxe e viene
generalmente utilizzata anche dai professionisti degli sport da combatti-
mento nelle competizioni più prestigiose. In questo caso è il coach che
aiuta il fighter ad indossare i guanti così che possano aderire perfetta-
mente alla mano.
Quante once?
I guantoni LEONE hanno un numero di once (OZ) che può variare da 6 a
18 a seconda della categoria di peso dell’atleta e della finalità di utilizzo.
A differenza di altri marchi, la nostra calzata aumenta al crescere delle
once per meglio adattarsi alla misura delle mani dei fighters di taglia
superiore, garantendo così il massimo comfort.
In generale i guanti da 6 oz sono dedicati ai giovani allievi (junior), quelli
da 8 e 10 oz vengono utilizzati nei combattimenti, durante le figure con
il maestro e dalle donne, mentre quelli da 12 - 18 oz sono specifici per
lo sparring in palestra.
Il peso superiore di questi ultimi unito alla loro maggiore superficie di
impatto, permette la massima dispersione della potenza dei colpi salva-
guardando quindi la sicurezza dei praticanti.

Una volta stabilito il peso, è importante valutare il modello di guanto più
adatto alla frequenza e al tipo di allenamento che si andrà a sostenere:

In order to choose the best glove for you, we have to analyze some facts:
Genuine leather or synthetic leather?
Genuine leather gloves are softer and very resistant, perfect for every-
body is looking for high quality and long-lasting products. It’s the fa-
vorite choice of the most expert fighters who train intensively.
Syntetic leather gloves represent the best compromise between quality
and price. Recommended to beginners who start the practice of ring
sports or train with moderate frequency.
Closure: Velcro or laces?
The velcro hook and loop system, helps you to wear your gloves in a fast
and easy way. For this reason, this is the preferred solution for training
sessions.
The laces closure is mandatory in official pro boxing matches and it’s
also used for the most important kickboxing and thai boxing professional
fights.
With this closure the coach helps the fighter to wear the gloves, so that
they can fit comfortably on the hand.
How many ounces?
LEONE gloves have a weight range from 6 to 18 Onces (OZ), depending
from the weight division and the purpose of use.
Unlike other brands, our gloves increase their fitting size depending on
the different ounces in order to adapt to bigger hands, for the best com-
fort.
Generally, 6 OZ gloves are used for young practitioners (juniors), 8-10
OZ gloves are used for competitions, for women and during pads ses-
sions with the coach, while 12-18 OZ are used for sparring in the gym.
The bigger gloves are safer because they have a wider surface and im-
pact area.
This allows the maximum dispersion of the strikes power thus protecting
the practitioners.

Once set the weight, it’s important to evaluate the frequency and the type
of workout that you want to do, to find the best gloves’model:

protettivo soprattutto su nocche, pollice e zona metacarpale sui

superiore presenta due elementi indipendenti che conferiscono

especially on the knuckles, thumb and metacarpal area on which
there is a special multilayer EVA padding, PU and high absorption
GEL. The upper part has two independent elements which confer a
greater agility during attack and grappling.
The surfaces of greatest impact, such as the upper part of the
back and the palm, are covered by a sturdy buffalo leather which
alternates the High PU present on the rest of the glove. The locking
sleeve is made with a double Velcro strip system to keep the wrist
firmer and it is enriched by the presence of a non-slip rubber insert
on tab to facilitate opening and extraction.
