Orthodox Christian faith. In addition we put on special exhibits and conduct
activities in the gallery to immerse the senses.

ingredients i.e. spices, featured in many Greek recipes
As a faithful supporter of Hellenes AHEPA Chapter 154 and D.O.P Troy
Chapter #32 were featured in the gallery with a display of artifacts and
presented their long and storied history in Portland.
We exhibited memorabilia which told the story of Greece’s role in WWII.
Welcome to the Textiles of Greece. Many items shown were created for
bridal dowries (prika).
Embroidery, one of the most important forms of traditional Greek
handicraft, is beautifully evident in the handmade lace tablecloths.
This exhibit showed the deep devotion and love for family that is
so characteristic of Greek culture.
The Textile exhibit was successful in generating an interest for a
needlepoint workshop with participants coming from the broader
