I am an associate professor at the University of Khartoum. I got a master and PhD in literature and has been teaching English language and literature since 1988. I worked for 9 years in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before coming back to Sudan. Since my return to Sudan I have participated in many activities to promote the teaching of English language in Sudan among which are SHEQUIP and the SMILE Projects. I have been the head of the Department of English Language responsible for teaching general and ESP throughout the university campus and currently I am the founder and director of the English Language Institute at the University of Khartoum.
