The batter went up to the plate
it was finals for the state.

The pitcher quickly threw the ball
The batter cracked it to the wall.

The outfielder raised his mitt in the
                air
But the ball missed just by a hair.

The batter sprinted around the bases
The crowd stood and cheered with
            happy faces.

The runner scored with a dramatic
               slide
Winning the game that used to be
               tied.
I fell on my bed
  I hit my head

The next day
Would be a
  dread.
Freedom flies,
 Floating through my
           life,
  as i ride my horse,
  as we become one,
   jumping fences,
   galloping through
          fields,
or simply taking a long
           walk.

      Freedom flies,
   as i see my perfect
 score at the judges ta-
           ble,
  receiving a ribbon as
    the crowd cheers,
leaving the arena with a
     smile ear to ear,
   Freedom flies.
I once had a dog named
          Gunner,
he was a very good run-
             ner.
  When he poops on the
floor it is such a bummer.
 I could be doing better
 things with my summer.

Then I got a dog named
          Scout,
he has so much energy I
   have to let him out.
When we leave him home
alone all he does is pout.
 When he gets tired he
     just passes out.
Ode to Nature

The waves crash onto the shore,
all of a sudden it started to
              pour.

     it ruined the hot sun,
so that we couldn’t have any
              fun.

We were forced to go inside
       where it is dry
 Sometimes nature just makes
       me want to cry.

 Later when the sun appeared,
We realized that the time had
            neared.
As I walked, I refused to let the sun affect me,
down the road, as we jumped the warm-up fences.
  toward the equestrian
arena, My Blood was rushing through my
   past my competitors, veins,
my horse, Grant, and I, heart pumping,
united as one, as i heard my number being called
feeling the warm sun on my to go into the ring to jump my
            face, course.
     all of my gear on,
eager to compete, I entered through the gates feeling
I knew we were ready. strong,
                                 rode through the start flags,
We had trained for months, and the timer started.
   practicing everyday,
through aces and pains, Fence by fence
rain or shine, we completed the course with ease.
   good times and bad,
perfecting my skill. As i passed through the finish flags,

at hand. We had a perfect round.

I knew the jumps were A huge smile crossed my face,
