1. Angel Bird deserves the title of Si Genit of North
Maluku. Maluku endemic birds that have a Latin
name Semioptera wallacii and is one of the birds
of Paradise is a beautiful addition to having hair
like an angel also has a beautiful dance
movements and was impressed, especially when
wooing flirtatious partner.
Unfortunately the bird Angels (Semioptera
wallacii) are endemic to North Maluku it is
increasingly rare. Although the IUCN Redlist only
be categorized as Least Concern, but beautifully
feathered birds in the field as an angel is
increasingly rare.
This rare bird is a member of the family
Paradisaeidae (of Paradise) and is the only
member of the genus Semioptera. Was first
discovered in 1858 by Alfred Russel Wallace. By
the local community is also known as bird-Weka
weak, whereas in English this is called bird
Standardwing, Standard-wing Bird-of-paradise,
or Wallace's Standardwing.
Characteristics and Behavior Bird Angel. Angels medium-sized birds, about 28 cm. Olive
greenish brown. Angel male bird has a purple crown and shiny and pale purple-green color
of emerald in his bosom. Angel birds females are smaller with olive and brown color and
have longer tails than males.
