2. • DM Consunji, Inc. (DMCI) – the lead contractor for the
Metro Manila Skyway Stage 2.
• Citra Metro Manila Tollways Corporation (CMMTC) – the
proponent for the Skyway Project.
3. • April 2009 Citra announced the construction on the
second stage.
• By May 2010, rotating the highest pierhead in the Sucat
area.
• By July, concreting 134 of the required 238 spans and
started pouring the Asphalt overlay.
4. • Started mobilization in May 2009 and finishing in March
2011.
• On December 15, 2010, The Bicutan-to-Sucat portion of
Stage 2 opened to the public.
• April 2011 – opened to public.
5. • STAGE 2 involved the construction of a 6.88km-long
expressway from BICUTAN to ALABANG.
• Accommodates an estimated of 300,000 vehicles per day
7. • Total Project Cost: 2 Billion Pesos
• Minimum Speed : 60kph
• Maximum Speed : 100kph for Class 1 Vehicles
80kph for buses and trucks
8. • The project aims to provide a vital link between
ALABANG AND BICUTAN through elevated expressway
system.
• It also aimed at helping decongest Metro Manila’s major
road system
• The project is also to boost the conduct of trade and
commercial activities
9. ISSUE
• Worsening traffic condition in Metro Manila
SOLUTION
• The government proposed to build the Skyway Stage3.
