• The Gao Wei Group is an industrial company established
in 1979 specialized in the production of electrical motors
and ventilation equipment.
• All business is conducted under contract manufacturing
basis both for OEM and ODM
• Industrial facilities cover an area of more than 120.000
m2 and has 1.800 employees.
• It is located near Zhongshan in the Pearl River Delta with
fast and easy access to Hong Kong.

• Company background
• The Company established a partnership by means of a JV for
the cooker-hood business worldwide in 1998 which
provided access to know-how and the growing volumes to
scale-up in innovation and cost competitiveness. This JV
accounts for 40% of its total revenue.
• Gao Wei´s independent business involves the ventilation
and motor manufacturing which has been recently reporting
faster growth and has become the largest share of the
business.

In-house R&D and production of brushless motors
Gao Wei started to develop BLDC motor technology in 2010 which is in
production since 2011 with the first generation of sensorless 120 degree SWC
technology.
In 2017 it has come up with the second generation of sensorless 180
degree SWC technology.
BLDC motors are currently in use for cooker-hoods, exhaust fans and
HVLS ceiling fans.
Gao Wei identifies this technology as a critical competitive advantage to
keep on the lead in innovation in response to the global trend to introduce
high efficency motors as a standard requirement.

Focus on the ventilation business with global scope
Gao Wei concentrates a vast majority of its business in ventilation as its
core competence both in R&D and manufacturing, offering a comprehensive
solution from components to final products in domestic; commercial and
industrial ventilation.
The industrial operations of Gao Wei have been shaped for more than
30 years into the high standards of its contract manufacturing clients both in
engineering and production.
Major OEM/ODM clients include brands such as Electrolux,
Westinghouse, Beko and Vortice. The company has consistently met every year
all clients´ SCR requirements.
-Gao Wei has developed deep understanding of regulations and market
requirements in all territories most notably in high-demanding markets.
