Key Lessons Learned on Collaboration Establish a convening entity that is objective (a local Switzerland) Meet people and organizations where they are(not where you want them to be) Identify a good place to start collaborating based on the energy of the group (not what you want others to do for you) Address the what’s-in-it-for-me (WIIFM) for all stakeholders Build trust through collaborative action (not just words) Focus on improvement projects (not starting new programs)
