Shakespeare was perhaps correct when he wrote “Lord, what fools these mortals be,” especially if he was referring to those of us entering the teaching field closer to our golden years rather than our salad days. Could I endure the more liberal classroom? Will differentiated teaching spread me out too thin? Would I survive block scheduling and cafeteria food?
