The goal with this organization is to get everybody involved as much as possible, as well as increasing the transparency and diminishing the corruption within the governmental system. The Management of the Sustainability certificate will be a the River Basin Forum Level. They will have to decide, which companies are to be awarded with the certificate or not. The voluntary work is managed at a municipality level, so that each community can organize itself. In the following paragraphs, a description of the important points of this figure will be provided.River Basin Forum - A meeting for all the communities involved in the Guadalete river basin- One or two people of each municipality, depending on the size- Discuss issues concerning:- Guadalete River Basin- Sustainability Certificate- Voluntary Work The Goal of the River Basin Forum is to involve as much as possible the communities in the decision making that concerns the Guadalete River Basin. The small initial funding that would be required for this certificate would be provided by Greenpeace. The group would like get Greenpeace to sponsor this certificate, because one of their main goals is to “prevent pollution and abuse of Earth’s ocean, land, air and fresh water”.The certificate would provide proof to the public if the companies provide local products, if they have a smart energy management, in other words no waste of energy, efficient measures and use of green energy. Also if a company recycles, reuses or has cradle-to-cradle systems, they will be able to have this certificate next to their company name or logo. Each company that would be interested in this certificate would have to pay a small fee each year. This fee would have to be established by the River Basin Forum, but it has to stay small, otherwise nobody would be interested (for example 50 euros every year). Transparency - Information campaigns (awareness)- Promote voting within the local population- Educate children on the governmental system and votes Finally, the goal of the transparency would be to increase the awareness of the citizens towards their government and decrease corruption. The three points mentioned above would be taken care of by the people doing the individual work. They would not only promote the river’s environment and sustainability, but as well information campaigns about the government and voting. A mandatory class for the school systems will be put into place. This class will be held three times a year (to be discussed by the municipality) and would inform the children about their governmental system, issues it might have and voting as well. Extra information and education concerning this subject will be provided during campaigning and voting periods.
